In Nigeria we are more familiar with names like Amilo Logomba and Koffi Olomide when it comes to makossa but Papa Wemba is a much bigger name than these two.
He slumped on stage while performing in a concert today in Ivory Coast. He was immediately rushed to the hospital but pronounced dead shortly after.
We have lost another great one.
