Kalika runs into the corridor of the house, shouting for everyone to come and see Nahar has killed Kshitij.
They all rush downstairs and see Kshitij’s body.
Nahar says he didn't kill him but everyone is staring at him in shock.
Kalika asks him why he killed Kshitij.
He says he didn’t kill him.
Kalika says she saw him with her eyes.
She tells everyone that Nahar called Kshitij earlier on the phone and threatened him.
Veer comes home and sees Kshitij’s lifeless body. He accuses Nahar of killing him in anger and rage.
Nahar, already weak from trying to convince them of his innocence, tells Veer that he didn’t do it. He admits he was angry at him but he didn't kill his brother.
Veer slaps him and tells him not to call Kshitij his brother.
He says Nahar should have come to him if he needed money.
Brajesh asks what Veer is talking about and Veer tells him that Nahar has been embezzling money from the company.
Nahar goes to Brajesh and asks if he believes he can do such a thing, Brajesh looks at him with pity.
He goes to Babho and asks her the same thing, Babho is crying; then he goes to Saloni.
Saloni is too overcome with grief to respond. She finds her voice when she sees Veer making a call to the police.
Saloni runs to him and takes the phone, she tells him to wait because Nahar can never do such a thing as to commit murder.
Veer pushes her away.
Saloni goes to Brajesh and begs him to tell everyone that Nahar can never do such a thing.
Veer breaks down and promises Kshitij’s body that he will make sure his death is not in vain. His murderer will be made to pay. He goes back to Nahar and hits him again.
Brajesh tells him that they should wait and find out the truth.
Babho says she knows Nahar hasn't done anything.
The police arrive at the house and arrest Nahar.
Saloni tries to plead with them but they ignore her.
She runs after them as they take Nahar away. She chases the police vehicle till she is tired.
Everyone at home is grieving.
Saloni runs to her family house. She bangs on the door frantically.
Samar and Ambica wake up and answer the door.
She tells them what happened.
They are shocked.
Samar and Ambica follow her to the station.
At the station, the policemen are talking amongst themselves, about the rich being greedy and how a man can kill his own brother for money
Nahar loses it. He tells them he didn't kill his brother and he can never commit such an atrocious act.
Samar, Ambica and Saloni get to the hospital. They say they have come to bail Nahar.
The inspector says it is a murder case and he cannot be bailed.
Saloni begs to see Nahar but the inspector says he cannot allow it.
She starts to shout and Nahar hears her voice. He calls out to her.
She runs in the direction of his voice and sees him in a cell.
She tells him the whole world can condemn him but she knows he is innocent and the truth will eventually be revealed.
Ambica and the policemen come to pull Saloni away.
Kshitij is cremated.
On the first day of the court hearing, Kalika tells Veer that today she will do all in her power to get justice for Kshitij.
He begs her to make sure of it.
The family arrives in court.
Saloni approaches Kalika and begs her to listen to her. Kalika allows her talk.
Saloni says she knows they can't go to the past but will her pain subside by punishing an innocent man; instead of punishing an innocent man they should focus on looking for the real killer.
Kalika says she knows what to do and she knows people cannot see clearly when their loved ones commit a crime.
She says she promised Veer that she will avenge Kshitij's death and that's what she will do; she accepted Saloni and her family but they have made her a widow.
During the court proceedings, Kalika tells the judge that Nahar killed Kshitij because he exposed Nahar's wrong doings in the company.
She recounts the events that occurred on the day of Kshitij's death but left out the part that she was the killer.
She closes her statement by saying that Nahar should be given the severest punishment.
The case is adjourned till tomorrow.
As Nahar is being taken to the vehicle, Saloni runs to him and assures him of her faith in him.
The family is gathered and watching.
Brajesh tells Nahar that he has faith in him and knows he can never do such a thing.
Nahar tells Brajesh his words have left a sweet taste in his mouth. He begs him to take care of Saloni.
Next day in court, the family members take the stand one after the other.
The final verdict is that Nahar is guilty of first degree murder and sentenced to death.
Saloni screams, then faints.
Samar leads her out of the courtroom.
When they get home, they all gather around Saloni as she is sleeping on the bed.
Ambica starts to bang her head on the door and Samar makes her stop.
She says she can't bear to see her kind-hearted daughter Saloni suffer so much.
Samar tries to calm her down, he tries to assure her that Nahar will eventually be free. He tries to get Brajesh to corroborate his story but Brajesh is in tears and ays he doesn’t know how Nahar can escape the verdict.
Tara tells Brajesh that they shouldn't lose hope.
Brajesh tells Babho that he raised Nahar just like she did, he held his hands and has been with him every step of the way but he couldn't save him.
Babho begs him not to cry. She says they have to look towards God.
Saloni is dreaming, in the dream, Nahar is about to be hanged.
She wakes up with a scream.
She begs Brajesh, Smar and Babho to go and save Nahar.
Everyone is crying.
Brajesh tells her that only one court has passed judgement so they will go to as many courts as it takes to get Nahar out.
Samar assures her that they will go to the high court and even the Supreme Court, if need be.
Saloni says if they are with her and they believe Nahar is innocent, then she will fight.
Nahar, samar and Saloni take the case to a higher court.
Nahar is still found guilty again.
Saloni visits Nahar in jail and apologizes to him for not being able to do anything for him so far.
Nahar says he loves her and regrets that their time together is short.
Saloni says they should have faith in God and she knows he will bring a miracle.
She tells Nahar to tell her what happened again that night.
Nahar says he has told her several times already.
She begs him to tell her.
He tells her everything. She asks him who opened the door when he got home.
He says the door was already open. She says it is strange for the door to be open at that time.
She concludes that Kshitij's murderer left the door open and fled.
She says she will tell Kalika and Kalika will be able to help.
She begs him to smile for her.
