'Tinsel' Season 8 Episode 1775 Recap - Aired: Friday 13 May 2016




Obiora is behind the bar at Ziggy’s. Frank asks him if he's seen Chuks.
Obiora says Chuks is supposed to be at the venue taking care of the client
The client comes in, furious. He says the waiter is nowhere to be found.
Frank tells Obiora that Chuks left the party.
Obiora apologises to the client but he is very upset.
Obiora says they will work something out.


Brenda comes into Angela’s office.
She asks if Fabian has called again or sent a text.
Angela says he hasn't and his number is switched off, she tried to call back.
Angela starts to laugh, saying once you think you're out; they pull your back in. She says the nonsense has to stop and they need to put it behind them.
Brenda agrees; clearly relieved.


Frank commends Obiora on the way he handled the client.
Chuks comes in waving a white hanky.
Obiora is upset. He lets Chuks know that he is messing with their business.
Chuks says Obiora will not understand; he fell sick.
Obiora says he should have just said a masquerade took him.
Chuks says that lie is too much, even for him.
He confesses that he discovered that the MD of the company was his classmate.
Obiora says he should have just come clean.


Yaya is at home surfing the Web on her tablet. She comes across the review Tessa wrote about the 'Reel' movie, ‘The Lost Eagle 2’.
Tessa is still with her. She asks what part of the review Yaya liked.
Yaya reads out the part she liked.
They laugh about it and Tessa gets up to leave saying, all seem to be well with Yaya so she can now go.
Yaya thanks her for all her help. They make plans to hook up later.

Yaya is still talking when she cries out in pain and holds her stomach.
She says Tessa didn’t tell her the drug will be this painful.
Tessa says she has never taken it to know.
She wants to call an ambulance but Yaya tells her not to.
Yaya sits back down, moaning in pain as Tessa holds on to her.


Laide reads a review about the movie, ‘The Lost Eagle 2’ and the writer says it wouldn’t have been possible without the contribution of Sheila.
Laide is disgusted.
After reading, she is boiling. She picks up her phone and calls Harriett the reporter.
She asks Harriett if she will want to have an exclusive on ‘The Lost Eagle 2’.
Harriett, of course, is very interested.
Laide says it’s an interview and there’s a lot about the movie that the public deserves to know.
Harriet agrees then asks for the time and venue to meet up.


Brenda is in her office, she gets a call from an unknown number. She assumes it is Fabian and tells him that the money is gone so he should leave her alone.
It is Zane. She’s relieved.
Zane asks Brenda if Fabian is with her and Brenda says he not;  she got a call from an unknown number so she assumed it was Fabian.
She informs him that Fabian contacted Angela and he says he knows who killed Masters.
Zane says he will handle it.
Brenda begs him not to do anything drastic.


Frank tells Chuks that he needs to behave himself and not allow what he did to the client, get back to his father- in-law because they are just beginning to get along.
Obiora says Chuks needs to do something for them and that is, to get a job.
Frank says he has to focus on one thing and stop being a jack of all trade.
Obiora hands him a flyer saying ‘Odyssey Pictures’ is looking for a costume designer and if it doesn't work, he should try other production companies.
Chuks collects the flyer from him.


Philip comes home and sees Yaya, clutching her tummy and moaning.
He ask what is wrong and she says she doesn’t know.
Tessa takes her leave.
Philip wants to call a doctor but Yaya tells him not to, that it’s just her period and he can make her the tea he usually makes for her.


Sankey comes into Brenda's office and starts to play with Kwame.
She asks for his name and Brenda says his name is Kwame Mensah.
She casually drops the bombshell that Brenda named the foundation after him.
Brenda is shocked.
Sankey shows her the document that shows she set up a foundation.
Brenda says that it is not fully set up yet.
Sankey asks for the account number so she can make a donation.
Brenda knows there's something up; she repeats that it is not fully operational yet.
Sankey is smiling like all is well.


Amaka comes to see Angela at work
Angela is happy.  Amaka says she read about the death of Alhaji.
She tells Angela that if she needs to talk, she's right there.


Yaya is still writhing in pain and telling Philip not to call the hospital. They look for how to manage bad cramps on the internet.


Chuks calls the number on the flyer and introduces himself as Chuks Obi, fashion designer, Clothier and costume designer.
Odum asks if he's the same Chuks and says he's bold to be calling him after all he did.
Chuks lies that he just called to say ‘Hi’.


Chuks calls’ Reel Studios’; he introduces himself the same way and says he sent in his CV.
 Fumi gives him an appointment for next week.


Brenda is in her bedroom when Zane walks in. She is shocked and excited.
She rushes to him and he grabs her in a tight hug. They kiss.


Laide tells Harriet that she wants everything on record.
She says the movie could have had a better premiere if not for Sheila and her lover, showing up.
She says Sheila and her family have been accused of war crimes.
Harriet says Sheila has not been charged with any crime.
Laide says it won't be the first time a guilty party has walked free.
She says not one good movie was made under Sheila’s leadership at Reel because of scandals; she and her family have succeeded in soiling Fred Ade-Williams’ good name.
