'Tinsel' Season 8 Episode 1783 Recap - Aired: Wednesday 25 May 2016

Chibuzor is regaling Obiora and Chuks about his experiences with a babe.
Frank walks up to them and reminds Chuks that he has to go back to the office.
Chuks  says he knows but he continues to enjoy his cousin’s gist.

Chuks asks Chibuzor what he is doing back in town.
Ibuzor makes excuses about his job not being what he really enjoyed and Frank says he was fired.
Ibuzor says they didn’t really get him.
Chuks says he should bring his CV so they can help him look for something.

Frank takes Obiora aside and tells him that they need to look out for Chuks because of Ibuzor.
Obiora says Ibuzor looks harmless but Frank says he is trouble.



Brenda boldly tells Sankey that she doesn't owe the police any information about her affairs.
Sankey says she has been consorting with a criminal so she needs to start talking.
Brenda says for the umpteenth time, Zane was her employee and she hasn’t seen him in a while.
She says if Sankey doesn’t have anything better to say, then she can leave.

Sankey gets up and says she had hoped Brenda had more sense than she’s displaying.
She gets up and leaves the office.


Chibuzor is still talking and Chuks is still at the bar.
Frank comes again to remind Chuks about work.
Chibuzor says he wants more beer and Chuks orders for it.


Philip is talking but Yaya is distracted, she wants to know what the message says.
Philip says Richard keeps texting him but he never gave him his number.
Yaya said she must have filled it in the form when she was registering for yoga.
She promises to take care of it.
Philip says he’s going back to work and he wants her to make something nice for lunch.
As soon as Philip leaves, Yaya calls Richard.
He threatens to reveal things to Philip if she doesn’t give in to his demands.
He tells her to meet him at the garden restaurant in 20 minutes and she reluctantly agrees.

Richard is waiting but Yaya doesn’t show up.
He calls her phone and he gets her voicemail.
He swears and tries again, same thing.
He leaves a message, ranting about how he will make her regret.


Tsav complains about how Amaka is avoiding him.
St. John tells him to give her time and look at her previous actions.
Tsav asks what he means.
St.John says Amaka was the most worried when he was abducted, she was the only one who believed something was wrong when others were in doubt.
Tsav wonders why she is still avoiding him, if she did all that.
St John says she may be emotionally overwhelmed and needs time to cool off.


Brenda calls Amaka and commends her on her new movie.
Amaka thanks her.
Brenda gets to the real reason why she called, she wants a favour;  Nosa is suing her and she needs a character witness.
Amaka says it’s not a problem; she needs the venue and date.
Brenda says it's short notice; this afternoon.
Amaka says she will be there.
Brenda is grateful.


Angela is with Brenda.  She gives her the budget proposal from Tolu.
Brenda has a problem with the cost.
Angela says they need to make their production values, world class.
Brenda says it is still too high.
Angela says so they don't have money to shoot movies but they have money for the Kwame mensah foundation.
Brenda tells her to drop the issue but Angela says they need to get their priorities right, this is something they have to do and Brenda will not regret it.
Brenda gives in and signs off on the proposal.


Philip and Amaka are in a meeting with a top client.
Amaka is distracted; checking something on her phone.
They ask her opinion but she is lost.
Philip is disappointed. He tells the client that he will show him around the premises.
As they leave, Philip stops to register his displeasure with Amaka and she says she is sorry, she was just reading and email.
Philip asks when news about Tsav became part of her job.
She is shocked that he actually saw what she was reading.

Chuks helps a drunk Chibuzor back to his flat.
He drops him on the bed and says he's late for work and doesnt know what excuse to give.
Chibuzor is already snoring.


Brenda gets a call from Zane. She asks where he's been.
He says the less she knows, the better.
She says she got into trouble with the police because someone spotted her at the hotel.
 Zane asks if she went to the police.
She says she didn't tell them anything but she wishes he was around; Angela and the police are on her neck and Nosa is suing her for Kwame.
Zane asks if he should take care of Nosa.
She says no and they joke about it.

Yaya is on the phone with Tsav.
Philip gets home and she gives him the phone to talk to him.
After the call he asks for lunch and she tells him to be patient.
There's a knock on the door. She answers it and Richard saunters is smiling and thanking her for inviting him to lunch.

'Tinsel' Season 8 Episode 1782 Recap - Aired: Tuesday 24 May 2016

Chuks is at ‘Reel Studios’ again.
Fumi takes him to Amaka 's office and tells him to wait for her.
Typical Chuks doesn’t sit on the chair he was assigned, instead he walks over to Amaka’s chair and sits down.
He adjusts the seat and begins to pretend he is the boss.
He hears her coming in and quickly runs to the other seat.
Amaka welcomes him and tells him what to expect as an employee of ‘Reel Studios’.



Ehigie is called to take the witness stand.
During the examination, he says their father wasn't there for them while they were growing up and this made Nosa vow never to be like that.
He says Nosa’s job takes him away a lot, so he tells Ehigie to check up on his son but Brenda doesn't let them see the child and even refused to give the baby their family name.
He says everything Nosa does, is for the child.
When he is asked to describe what Brenda is like, he says she is rude and insults the family.
They ask if he thinks her attitude will affect the child and he says he will not be surprised if the baby grows up to hate them and even his father.
Brenda is no longer smiling.


Fumi informs Chuks that he will spend the week being evaluated and he has to make a presentation.
Chuks panics.


Sheila and St. John bring Tsav back home.
The policeman, who accompanied them, informs them that a team will be stationed outside and that Tsav is not allowed out of the premises.
Tsav asks Sheila if she has heard from Amaka and Sheila says Amaka said she needed to take care of some things.

Tolu is in a meeting with Maro, Mimi and Oris. He briefs them on what they will need to do on the movie project.
Mimi says she has some questions because she's handling PR for the movie.
Maro says it's too early for PR because the script is not even ready.
Mimi insists that it is not too early.
Tolu tells her that they will need to meet and work on it.


Sheila and Tsav are seated at the dining table. He thanks her for the meal.
Yaya rushes in and gives Tsav a hug.
She asks what they did to him and what they wanted.
Tsav says he's fine.
She doesn’t acknowledge Sheila’s presence so Sheila tries to get her attention by saying ‘Hello’.
Yaya responds coldly and Tsav leaves the table.
Yaya makes up an excuse to leave but Sheila tells her to sit.
Sheila asks how she is and she says she's fine but she needs to leave
Sheila says they need to talk.


Chuks is at home trying to work on his presentation.
Someone is banging on his door.
He opens it  and Ene’s father comes in.
He drops the fabric for the clothes he asked Chuks to make for him and emphasises on the need for Chuks to finish on time.
He congratulates Chuks on his new job and advises him to take it seriously.


Sheila asks Yaya what she intends to do.
Yaya says she made a mistake and Sheila tells her that it wasn’t a mistake; she was cheating on her husband.
Yaya tells Sheila to stop acting high and mighty; it’s not like she had a perfect marriage herself.
Sheila says at least she didn’t cheat on anyone.
Yaya says Sheila has no right to tell her how to handle her marriage.


Odum meets Nosa at Ziggy’s again.
Nosa begs Odum to testify on his behalf.
Odum says he can’t and if Brenda even knows he's seeing Nosa at all, she will have him fired.

Tolu comes to Angela’s office to give her the budget for his job.
 She doesn't look at it but says they will give him whatever he needs to produce a film of the standard they require, world class.
She tells him to go back and update the budget and not think of the expenses.
He is surprised but glad.


Tsav tells St. John about his ordeal.
He calls Amaka’s phone but she doesn’t pick up.
He complains to St. John and says he wants to go and her but St. John tells reminds him that he has been ordered by the police, not to leave the premises.
St. John decides to try her phone and Amaka answers.
He tells her that Tsav is there and has not been able to reach her.
 Amaka says she's not ready to talk to him yet.


Chuks comes into Ziggy’s in a work suit.
Frank and Obiorah ask if he shouldn’t be at work.
Chuks says he's not expected to be at the office all day.
Obiorah leaves and Chuks tells Frank that his father-in-law came to see him at an odd hour, probably to see if he was getting up to anything illicit, as Ene is not around.
His cousin, Chibuzor comes in and Chuks is super excited to see him.
Frank doesn’t look too thrilled to see him though.


Sankey comes to see Brenda at work.
She enters the office, smiling like all is well.
Brenda asks why she has come and Sankey says she thought they were cool and she didn't need a reason to visit.
She asks how Brenda is and Brenda tells her to just get to the real reason she’s here.
Sankey says she is in the middle of the investigation that involves the death of Alhaji Abubakar. Brenda makes a face like it doesn’t concern her but Sankey is not done yet.
She says they are looking for Zane and heard a woman who fits Brenda’s description went to a downtown motel to visit him.


Philip and Yaya are having breakfast. They talk about Tsav and his mum and he says if she needs anything, she can count on him.
He frowns as he looks at his phone.
Yaya panics and asks what it is.
Philip says he just got a message from Richard.

'Tinsel' Season 8 Episode 1781 Recap - Aired: Monday 23 May 2016

Chuks is at 'Reel Studios' for his interview.
He is alone in the boardroom so he spends the time preparing.
Fumi enters and asks him a few questions. Chuks responded in a rather professional and very eloquent manner.
Fumi seems impressed with his answers but she tells him that they will contact him if he is selected for the role.



Angela enters Brenda's office and Brenda's guard goes up.
Angela surprises her by saying Brenda has her full support as regards the custody battle with Nosa.
Brenda says she is grateful.
Angela is not done, she says  she can take the stand as a witness if Brenda needs her to.
Brenda says it won't be necessary.
Angela then says, if Brenda needs to talk too, she's available.
Brenda thanks her but she is obviously not at ease with the level of love Angela is showing her even when she still thinks Brenda is keeping stuff about Zane and the Kwame Mensah account, from her.

Chuks is at his in-law's house.
Chief asks how the interview went and Chuks says he's hopeful.
Chief complains of the clothes he gave a tailor for some weeks now but all he hears are excuses.
He asks if Chuks can make some of the native attires he usually wears.
Chuks says he can make them.


Tsav is at the police station, sitting in front of Sankey.
The police doctor examines him and says he has no broken bones but needs to go to a hospital.
Sankey orders Tsav to write a statement.
She calls Amaka and tells her they have Tsav.
Amaka is relieved.
Sankey says they also have Yahimba in custody.
Amaka asks if that means that Tsav is also in custody.
Sankey says they need to be sure of the circumstances under which he was kidnapped.
Tsav says he wants to talk to Amaka.
Sankey tells Amaka and hands Tsav the phone.
Tsav says 'hello' but Amaka hangs up.


Amaka calls Sheila and tells her about Tsav.
Sheila says she will meet her at the Station.
Amaka says she won't be able to make it. She gives an excuse.


Segun goes to the hotel where Brenda visited Zane in the past.
He sees the same receptionist Brenda met when she came to look for him again.
He asks her for a guest list and she tells him that they don't have any.
He threatens to arrest her but she insists that they don't have.
He shows her a photo of Zane and asks if she has seen him.
She says she doesn't know him and he threatens her again.
She says someone came to ask for him the other time too.
He gets curious and asks who the person was.
She describes Brenda.



Chuks takes chief's  measurements .
Chief asks if he won't write them down.
Chuks says a true professional never writes it down.
He says he wants his outfits in time and Chuks promises to deliver.


Tolu is in Angela's office. He tells her that he is sorry for her loss.
He asks if she will be OK and she assures him that she is well.
They talk about his role as director and he agrees to the terms.
They shake hands over it.


Yaya calls Philip to tell him about Tsav's release.
He says he will take her to the station but she says she can't wait.
She gets to the door and as she opens it,  Richard enters and says he's been trying to reach her.

Yaya looks very irritated and uneasy.
He asks if this is a bad time and she says it is; she has a family emergency.
He says he was worried about her.
She tells him at the top of her voice that she had enough.
He tells her to marry him and stop denying what they share.
She slaps him.
He stares at her in anger and says she shouldn't have.

Chuks is at Ziggy’s briefing Frank about his father-in-law.
Obiora asks how the interview went and Chuks says they said to get back to him.

Chuks calls Ene and Ene asks if he got the job.
He says he did and she screams in delight
He clarifies that it's not that job, it's the one with her father.
She says it's still OK.

After the call  he receives a text message on his phone, ; he has been accepted for the job.
He shows Frank who is very happy for him.
Chuks is grinning from ear to ear.


Brenda is in court for the hearing. Nosa's lawyer makes an opening statement about Nosa not being allowed to see his son.
Brenda's lawyer takes the floor after her and points out Nosa's disappearance from his son's life for one year by choice.
As he is talking, Brenda is smiling and looking at a Nosa who seems to be coming to terms with a possible loss.


Sheila and St. John come to the station to see Tsav.
When they are done with the visit, as they are about to leave,  the ICC agent asks if Sheila won't see her mum.
Sheila tells them that she has no mother.

'Tinsel' Season 8 Episode 1780 Recap - Aired: Friday 20 May 2016

Telema meets with cassius at Ziggy’s and tells him Bimpe didn't agree to working with him on the distribution of their movie. 

He asks why she didn’t just tell him over the phone, instead of asking him to meet her.

Telema says if the roles were reversed, she’d want to be told in person. 

He seems happy with her response.

He asks what's next and she says she has no idea. 

He says he wants to help because Telema has been very respectful; he would put her in contact with one of the biggest Cinema Chains in the country; he would help her with a leg in the door and how it goes from there is entirely up to her.

Telema is very happy.

A weak Tsav, tells Caeser that he will not say a word.

Caeser says he saw the expression on Tsav's face when he called Amaka’s name. 

Tsav says what he saw, was the face of a thirsty man.

Ceaser gets water and pours it on Tsav’s face then asks if he’s still thirsty.

Tsav says that there's nothing between him and Amaka.

Ceaser asks if he wouldn’t mind if Amaka and her son disappear. 

Tsav begs him to leave Tochi alone.

Ceaser asks if he can arrange the mum in that case.

Tsav begs him to leave both of them out of it.

Caeser orders his man to find them before the end of the day. 

Tsav breaks and says he will take him to the diamonds. 

Ceaser warns Tsav not to mess him up otherwise he will get to watch Amaka and her son die.

Bimpe is on the phone, dealing with relatives who want a piece of her ’25 Million’.

She thanks one for the prayers and says she has no money to pay his son’s fees. 

Another calls and asks if she has moved into a bigger flat so that her kids can move in with her.

Bimpe tells her she hasn’t moved and her kids cannot come.

She gets a third call and answers in anger. It is her Aunty Abike, the one who was helping her plan her wedding to Soji. 

Bimpe asks how she is and aunty says they are fine, it’s just the hunger that is a problem.

She congratulates Bimpe on her management deal and Bimpe says the 25million naira gist, is not true.
 Aunty doesn’t seem to believe her, she asks for a ‘little’ recharge card money, “like 50k”.

 Bimpe says she can’t afford 50k, she will send 5k.

Brenda is having a meeting with her Team at the office.

She informs them that World Movies has accepted their deal and that Odum is not going to be around so Mimi will hire a new director.

Maro suggests Tolu (Mimi’s and Angela’s ex).

Angela agrees with Maro that Tolu will be a good replacement.

 Mimi doesn’t like the idea. She says they have worked with Tolu before and she thinks it would be good to give others a chance. 

Brenda tells her to come up with a list that includes Tolu’s name.

Laide is having lunch with Harriet. 

Harriet asks how it's going and Laide says it is working; after the interview, she loves how the public reacted to the gossip.

Harriett takes offense at the term ‘gossip’. She immediately sets Laide straight, saying she’s a journalist and what she reports is not gossip.

Laide says she didn’t mean it that way and anyways, she wants to know how soon they can have the second interview so she can bash Sheila further.

A still-pissed-off  Harriett, turns the table on Laide and says Fred had amnesia, she was brought to help and she started sleeping with him. 

Laide wasn’t expecting that. She asks how the issue became about her.

Harriett says she did a bit of digging and found out; that's how ‘gossip’works. 

Laide now wants to know  if Harriet will write about her.

Harriett says it will depend on if someone pays her to.

Laide threatens to sue, if that happens.

Mimi confronts Maro at the reception about why she brought up Tolu’s name at the meeting.

Maro says it’s because he's good at what he does.

Mimi says but Maro knows how far with her and Tolu.

Maro says she cares more about Odyssey than about Mimi’s relationship with Tolu. 

Nnenna, who has been listening to them, says she thought Mimi was trying to get back with Tolu.

Mimi says she is but she doesn’t know about working with him.

Telema enters Bimpe’s apartment and a relieved Bimpe asks where she has been.

Telema, with a bit of an attitude, tells Bimpe that she slept at a friend’s and she will be staying there for a while; she just came to pick up some more clothes.

She starts packing and Bimpe suddenly grabs her and begs her not to leave. 

She explains that she has been stressed out and she doesn't know her real friends, her only friend, apart from Ene, is Telema.

Telema is quiet.

Bimpe gets on her knees and holds Telema by the legs, still pleading.

Telema helps her up and agrees to stay.

Bimpe promises to make it up to her. 

Sankey is at the station, making enquiries over the phone from the men watching the hideout.

After the call, she tells Segun that Amaka’s information is accurate.

She calls her superior on the phone and gives him an update on the case.

He approves her request for more police officers to be sent to the hideout. 

Angela enters Brenda's office. She's not happy that she found out about Odum’s intended departure, at the meeting.

Brenda says she only found out some hours before the meeting herself.

Angela says Brenda seems to be forgetting other things, like the Kwame Mensah foundation and its activities.

Brenda tells her not to let Fabian fill her head.  

Angela says she never mentioned Fabian. 

Brenda says she assumed. 

Angela says assumptions are bad.

Brenda cannot look her in the face.

Angela seems to be enjoying the torment. She sweetly asks if Brenda will join her for dinner.

Brenda says she busy.

Brenda enters the hotel room where she met Zane the other time. 

An impatient hotel employee tells her he's not there and that she doesn't even know whom Brenda is talking about.

Brenda begs her to to allow a quick look around the room.

The girl asks for a little greasing of the palm and Brenda gives her some money.

She leaves and Brenda tries Zane’s phone; Number not available.

Tessa is at Yaya's again. She gives her a medication for the pain and warns her not to take it with the wine she is drinking. 

Yaya agrees to take it later;  she says she feels like a huge weight has left her shoulders  

Tessa says Yaya's too smart to have fallen into this. 

Richard calls and Tessa tells him Yaya is too sick to pick the call.

After the call, Yaya says anytime she thinks about Richard, she wants to kick herself. 

Bimpe comes to see Midas in his office. She’s fuming. 

He asks if there is anything wrong.

She says the quote he made about 25 million naira is putting her in a mess; everyone wants money. 

He doesn’t see her point. He says he didn't expect her to complain about getting attention. 

She says he should have said 1 million or 2 million but 25 million is way too huge a figure.

He says it's a claim then says what if he told her that the man she met at the reception on her way in, is her very own chauffeur. 

He hands her a car key and tells her it is the key to her new car.

Bimpe’s smile is very wide.

Odum meets Nosa at Ziggy’s. Nosa asks if Odum has seen his son. 

Odum says Brenda brings him to the office often so he sees him.

Nosa asks about Brenda and Odum says she's fine. 

Nosa then casually mentions that there’s a guy Brenda has been rumoured to have something with in the tabloids.

Odum hesitates for a second then says it is not a rumour because he walked in on Brenda and the guy kissing in her office. He says that he believes they are having an affair.

Caeser is taunting Tsav as usual.

Next thing, they hear the police invading the hideout and Tsav lies flat on the ground.

Caeser joins him.

'Tinsel' Season 8 Episode 1779 Recap - Aired: Thursday 19 May 2016

Brenda gets her lawyer and briefs him about the custody battle with Nosa.

Bimpe calls Shalewa on the phone and berates her for releasing the information about her management deal on social media.
Shalewa says she didn't and was just as shocked to see it online.
Bimpe calls Midas but he doesn't answer his phone.

Tessa is at Yaya's.
She makes jokes and Yaya seems to be in a much better mood.
Tessa asks Yaya what she will do now, about Richard.
Yaya says she doesn't know.
Tessa asks where she met him and she says online. Tessa is shocked.
Yaya wants Tessa to help her think of a way to get rid of him.
Tessa says it would be difficult. She advises Yaya that if there ever is a next time, she should go for someone who has something to lose.
Yaya doesn’t quite get it so Tessa explains that Richard has nothing to lose that's why he can harass and blackmail her.


Sheila gets home and meets laide blocking her driveway
She tells Laide to get out of her way
Laide accuses her of shamelessly courting the media, she calls her a murderer.
Sheila calls her security and laide warns that if he touches her, she will call the police. She continues with the insults.
Sheila tells her to just imagine if her daughter, Ife saw her behaving this way.
Laide says at least she is not a criminal like Sheila.

Amaka and Angela are having lunch.
Amaka asks her Angela how she is coping and chat about work at ‘Reel Studios’.
Amaka complains about Laide’s attitude that is getting to everyone.
Angela asks what they intend to do about it and Amaka says they will just ignore her behaviour till she crawls back to wherever she came from.
Angela says that problems don’t go away till you face them.


Bimpe disguises herself and goes into Ziggy’s. She asks Frank if he has seen Telema.
He says she hasn’t been there and Bimpe is disappointed. As she turns to leave, he mentions her management deal and attracts the attention she was trying to avoid.
Harriett, the reporter, who is also at Ziggy’s, walks up to her.
She asks why Bimpe is in a face cap and sunglasses. Bimpe lies that they are part of  her costume for a movie.
She lies that it's for a movie.
Harriett congratulates her on her new management deal that she is making 25 million naira from.
She asks Harriet how she got to know about the deal and Harriet says ‘Midas Galaxy’ released the information to all the top news agencies.
Bimpe tries to hide her anger.

Brenda is at home, playing with baby Kwame.
Fabian calls and tells her to give him his money.
Brenda refuses.
He threatens that he is giving her a few more days and if he doesn’t get his money...
She hangs up on him.


Sheila finally gets into the house. Amaka and St. John are with her and she reports the matter with Laide to them.
St. John tells her to maintain the upper hand by keeping calm.
Sheila says Laide makes it so difficult but she would try.
She asks Amaka if she’s heard anything from the police.
Amaka says she hasn’t heard from them.
St John says they can't keep waiting when they already know the location where Tsav is being held.
He says he will mobilise men to go and get Tsav out.


Nosa meets Angela at Ziggy’s.
He tells her that Brenda is the reason why he had to go to Court.
Angela warns that when Brenda is not fighting, she is formidable, so he can imagine how she will be when she is actually fighting.


Nosa says he is sure of victory, he has the support of his family and friends.
He asks of he can count on her support and she reminds him that Brenda is also her friend.
She advises him to drop the case for Kwame’s sake. He is the most important person in the equation.


Sheila warns her father not to even think about it has he forgotten what happened the last time he was kidnapped and held alongside Yahimba?
Amaka asks if they can even be sure that Tsav is alive.

Bimpe calls Midas again and this time, he answers.
She says people have been calling to congratulate her about a 25 million naira contract.
He sees it as a good thing for her image and says that perception is everything.
Bimpe doesn’t agree with him. She says she will see him tomorrow.

After the call, some reporters approach her and point their recorders in her face.
One asks how she feels about the deal.
Bimpe says she feels accomplished, as an artist.


Odum enters Brenda's office and tells her he will not be able to direct the movie; he gained admission to study a course abroad and he needs to go.
Brenda says it is terrible timing and he should abandon the course.
He explains that he didn’t know he would be selected because there were over 3000 applicants and only 15 spaces.
He pleads with her to let him go for just 6 months and return after the course is done.
Brenda is not finding it funny, she complains about employees always pulling such stunts then she tells him to just go away.


Caesar the crazy drama-king is at it again. In a singsong voice, he tells Tsav to just help himself.
 He keeps repeating it then he instructs his man to take Yahimba and dump her anywhere but he should keep Tsav until he cracks.
Tsav calls Caesar ‘heartless’.
Caesar says Yahimba is of no use to anyone.
His man comes in and says Yahimba said something. He whispers to Caesar and Caeser says ‘Amaka’.
Tsav looks defeated and Caeser laughs then taunts him .

'Tinsel' Season 8 Episode 1778 Recap - Aired: Wednesday 18 May 2016

Telema enters Ziggy’s and sees Cassius.  She walks up to him and says ‘Hello'.
He greets her warmly and apologises for the other day.
He says he just wanted to teach Bimpe a lesson for what she did to him.
Telema asks if his distribution chain is really as he described it the last time.
Cassius says it is.
Telema asks if he will be willing to work with them on the movie distribution.
His response is positive.


Amaka tells Sankey that she has no right to arrest her as an accessory because she knows her rights.
Sankey says she should stop withholding information.
Amaka says she brought information yet Sankey is accusing her of withholding.
Sankey says Amaka is not revealing her source.
Amaka says she doesn't know the source.
Sankey says they will get back to her


Bimpe enters Mr. Midas’ office and gives him the signed contract.  He looks around his desk and says he doesn't have ink to make a copy so she can come back tomorrow.
Bimpe looks like she smells a rat. She says she will take it to a business center and make a copy.
He says she can't take such a document to a business centre.
She now says she will keep it and bring back tomorrow, when he will have ink to print.
He gives her a serious look  and asks if she doesn't trust him.
Bimpe says she’s just trying to be careful.
He feigns anger and says if she cannot trust thim, then the deal is off. She is no longer a client.
Bimpe panics and starts to beg. She says she was only joking o and he can have the contract; she will come back to pick it up tomorrow.



Maro gives her pitch to the management team at Odyssey Pictures.
After she’s done, Angela says she likes it. Brenda and the rest of the team agree that it is a good one.



Amaka and St. John go back to Sheila to tell her what happened at the station.
They talk about Sankey now being suspicious of Amaka.
Amaka says she can deal with it all, as long as they get Tsav back.
Sheila gives her a knowing look and Amaka wants to know what's behind the look.
Sheila says Tsav is lucky to have Amaka in his corner because Amaka likes Tsav.
St. John gives Amaka the same look and Amaka smiles.


Ehigie comes to see Brenda at work.
He says he heard Nosa was at her house and things got heated.
Brenda gets upset and says she's not the one he should be talking to.
Ehigie says he already spoke with Nosa and Nosa admits he was wrong.
He reminds Brenda that Nosa is Kwame’s father; he should be allowed to see his son.
Brenda orders him to leave her office.
She tells him that Kwame is a Mensah and he will be raised as such.


Bimpe is with Shalewa at Ziggy’s.
Shalewa gets excited when she hears Bimpe met Abe stone.
Bimpe tells her about the contract with the agency.
Shalewa takes a selfie of the two of them and wants to post online and caption it as the first client of the top talent agency.
Bimpe tells her not to do so yet. She needs to check with the agency to know that it is okay.


Yaya is on the phone with Tessa. She complains that she's still in pain but not like the first day.
Tessa tells her to go to the hospital.
Yaya says she can't go.
Tessa says her life is way more important than any scandal.


Angela gets a call from Nosa. He complains about Brenda throwing him out of the house when he went to see Kwame.
He goes on and on about what Brenda is doing to him and his family.
Angela tells him to be patient for Kwame’s sake.
He picks on the name and says his son cannot be called Kwame.
Angela advises him to try and talk to Brenda again.


Philip gets home and sees Yaya sleeping on the couch..
He touches her and in her sleep she panics and tells him to go away.
When she realises he's the one, she calms down.
Philip asks her how she feels and she says she's getting better.
He says she needs to go to the hospital,
She lies that she already went with Tess.
He says he want his happy wife back.


Bimpe gets back home and Telema asks how the meeting with Midas went.
She says it went very well.
Telema tells her she met with Cassius and they may have to do business with him.
Bimpe says they can't work with the man after all he did to her.
Telema says they have to, because no one else is  would work with them.
Bimpe says Cassius will not work on her film.
Telema reminds her that it is not her film and says Bimpe is too self-centred to get it into her small head.


Sheila is being interviewed for her book.
The interviewer asks her if there is anyone in her life.
Sheila says her love life is not up for discussion.
The interviewer then asks what Sheila has to say about Laide’s claim that she manipulated Fred into marrying her.
Sheila says she's too busy to bandy words with people who have nothing to do but try to spread lies about those who are way out of their league.


Angela is in Brenda’s office when Nnenna brings in a document and hands over to Brenda
Brenda opens it and gives a long hiss.
Angela is curious.
Brenda tells her that the ‘Idiot’ is suing her for custody of Kwame.

'Tinsel' Season 8 Episode 1777 Recap - Aired: Tuesday 17 May 2016

Bimpe and Midas toast to their working together.
She asks why he didn't sign the other big names as clients.
Midas says he wants to nurture her; he wants people to appreciate his work.
Bimpe asks for her contract and be hands it to her.
He goes out to take a call and a guy enters the office.
He sits next Bimpe and she freaks out when she recognises him as a famous movie star, Abe Stone.
She tells him that she has seen all his movies.
His response is somewhat cold so she sits back and jejely faces her front.


Coach tells Amaka that he knows where they are keeping Tsav.
Amaka asks how he knows. He says it was tough but he eventually found where he is being kept.


Midas comes back in and he asks Bimpe why she is just sitting down when there’s an opportunity for her to network with the great Abe stone, one of the top 3 actors in the country.
Abe points out that he is actually number 1.
Abe and Midas chat a bit, then Bimpe says she has to run.
As she is leaving, Abe tells her that she is really pretty.
She smiles.


Angela is crying in her office.
She calls Brenda and Brenda asks if Fabian called her.
Angela asks Brenda to tell her about the Kwame Mensah foundation.
Brenda starts to evade the question as usual.
Angela says she’s always known there is something about this foundation because each time it comes up, Brenda acts funny.
Brenda says if there is anything she needs to know, she would have told her.
Angela asks about Kwame and Brenda says he's running a temperature.
Angela offers to come over but Brenda quickly tells her not to bother because the doctor prescribed something and he's sleeping.


Coach enters Amaka's car. She asks how he found the kidnappers and he asks if she really wants to know.
He asks if she knows Ceaser, because he’s the one responsible.
Amaka says she knows him from the time he held staff hostage at Reel and it means Tsav is in serious trouble.
She says they need to go to the police.
Coach says he cannot go to the police but she can go, she would tell them a guy stopped her and gave her the piece of paper with the directions to the location.
He hands her a piece of paper.


Telema is trying to fix appointments with distributors for the movie but it doesn’t seem to be going well.
Bimpe comes home in gym wear and Telema asks her where she is coming from.
Bimpe says she went to the gym as she is becoming a star; she needs to keep in shape.
Telema points out her makeup, which is still intact.
Bimpe doesn't see how that is a problem.

Telema says she slept off before Bimpe came back from her meeting with Midas but she bets it went well.
Bimpe says she met Abe Stone.Telema is very excited.
Bimpe asks if she knows him personally.
Telema says they started the acting business together and they both starred in her first movie.
Tactless Bimpe says they started together and now he's a Superstar while Telema cannot even get a role.
Telema gives her a look and she apologises, saying she didn’t mean it the way it came across.


Sheila comes to see Yaya at home. Yaya is huddled on the living room chair, holding her stomach but not in pain.
Sheila asks if she’s okay and Yaya says she lost the baby.
Sheila asks how.
Yaya says she was in the bathroom and started bleeding.
Sheila says it is convenient.
Yaya says it is. She begs Sheila not to tell Philip.
Sheila promises not to.
Yaya tells Sheila not to take it the wrong way but she has to leave because the drug is making her sleepy.

Zane is having breakfast at Brenda's.
She is deep in her thoughts.
He asks her what is wrong and she says she wishes she knew what Fabian said to Angela.
Zane tells her to just ask Angela.
Brenda says things with Angela are never that easy;  she says maybe she should just give the money back to Fabian.
Zane tells her not to give in to him.
There's a knock on the door.
Zane hides and Brenda opens the door.
Angela walks in.
Brenda starts to asks what Angela is doing there but Angela interrupts her and asks if Zane is there.
Brenda tries to compose herself then asks why she would think that.
Angela says she heard voices and Brenda says it was the TV.
Angela says the TV is off.
She looks at the table and says that's a lot of food.
Brenda makes up another lie.
Angela says she came to see Kwame because Brenda had told her yesterday that he wasn’t feeling well.
Brenda says he is sleeping and she will soon take him to the hospital.

Angela looks at Brenda then says she will see her at the office.
She leaves and Zane comes out of the room.
He asks Brenda if she thinks Angela believed her.
An exhausted Brenda says she hopes so.

Amaka goes to Sheila’s with the information from Coach. Sheila and St. John come up with various assumptions as to why and how coach got the information. They agree Sheila cannot go to the police.
St.John says Sheila cannot go to the police as she has dealt with them enough.
They all agree that Amaka and St. John will go.

Bimpe is looking through her contact. She calls Telema to come and pinch her so she knows she's not dreaming.
She hands the contract to Telema. Telema looks and says the contract looks too good to be true.
Bimpe asks her why she is beefing; it's like she's jealous that her career is taking off.
Telema says if the contract was hers, she would question it the same way.
Bimpe signs and tells Telema to stop hating.

Brenda is worried and Zane tells her to stop letting the things get to her.
She says a lot is at stake;what if she Angela goes to the police and tells them Zane is there.
Zane says he has to lay low for a while until they know what Angela knows.

Amaka and St. John enter the station. Sankey has a cold and she is in a bad mood.
She warns them immediately they enter not to upset her because she has a cold and she is not in the mood for nonsense.
Amaka tells her that someone gave her a note leading to where Tsav is being held.
Sankey asks who gave her the note and why her.
St John says Amaka just performed her duty by reporting what she was given.
Sankey tells them to be careful or they will be charged for being accessories to the crime.

'Tinsel' Season 8 Episode 1776 Recap - Aired: Monday 16 May 2016

Bimpe is in her flat, with Shalewa.
She strikes a pose then asks Shalewa what she thinks of her pose.
Shalewa says it is cool.
Bimpe says she has to look good for Mr. Midas.

Shalewa gets a call from her mum, asking her to come home.
Bimpe says she can’t keep running off like that if she wants to work for her.

Telema comes in and asks what they’re talking about.
Shalewa leaves and Bimpe says she's grooming Shalewa for when Mr Midas takes her (Bimpe) on, as a client.
Telema says she doesn't mean to sound like she has ‘bad belle’ but is Bimpe not being a little presumptuous?
Bimpe says Telema sounds exactly like a’bad belle’.



Philip gets a call telling him that the movie is sold out at the cinemas.
Amaka comes in and comments on how happy he looks.
He tells her the movie sold out that’s why.
Fumi, the receptionist, comes in and says a hashtag about Fred Ade-Williams is trending online.
She tells them that Laide granted an interview concerning the movie and it has generated a lot of negative comments about the late Fred Ade-Williams.
Amaka goes online and tells Philip that  the interview is about how Fred let Sheila manipulate him into marrying her.
Philip instructs Fumi to tell Laide to meet him and Amaka up for an urgent meeting.


Zane wakes up on Brenda’s bed. She wakes up too and they begin to whisper sweet nothings to themselves.
They hear voices coming from the living room.
Brenda says she knows who it is; It's Nosa and she will handle him.
She leaves the room.


Nosa is struggling with John, he says he just wants to go into the bedroom and see his son.
Brenda enters and he tells her that he wants his son.
Brenda asks if he thinks he can just waltz back into Kwame’s life. She tells him that he is too late.
Nosa says they will let a Judge decide.
He leaves and Brenda warns John not to ever let him in the house again.

Laide enters the board room and Amaka asks what she’s playing at; because of her, Fred’s good name is now being dragged in the mud.

Laide says she just granted an interview and it couldn't have led to anything negative about Fred.
They show her a copy of the things being said online.
Philip tells her to make a call and retract what she said.
She says she will not and if people blame Fred for the things Sheila did, then that's not on her.


Nosa calls Odum. Odum is excited to hear from him.
They arrange to meet at Ziggy’s.


Bimpe is home taking selfies. Telema comes in looking worried.
Bimpe asks what happened and Telema says Soji is gone to Ibadan to shoot a TV series so she is left all alone to market their movie.
Bimpe says she’s available.
Telema says she thought Bimpe said she wasn’t interested in the marketing of the movie.
Bimpe says that was before Soji travelled and left her all alone.
Telema hugs her in relief.
Bimpe asks what she needs and as Telema starts talking, Bimpe gets a text message and screams in excitement.
She says Midas is back and she needs to see him right away.


Amaka is driving and talking to Philip on the phone. She tells him that she thinks someone is following her. Philip tells her to pullover and see if he overtakes her.
She tells him that the car slowed down when she did.


Segun asks Sankey how it went.
Sankey says Brenda is not being truthful.
Segun mentions Zane and Sankey says it seems he just disappeared.
He says it reminds him of Masters. He asks if she thinks Zane is gone.
Sankey says she doesn't think so and she thinks Brenda is still connected to him but either way, she will get him.


Amaka rushes into the station and says she thinks she's being followed.
Sankey asks who was following her.
Amaka says she doesn't know.
Sankey asks for the type of car and plate number.
Amaka says she has no clue but she saw a sticker on it the last time.
Sankey asks if she has seen the car before and Amka says she thinks so.
Sankey asks why would anyone follow her.
Amaka doesn’t respond even though she has a clue: the diamonds.
Sankey tells her to leave a statement and they will get back to her.
Amaka asks if they have any news on Tsav.
Sankey asks if she thinks the person following her has anything to do with Tsav.
Amaka says how will she know.


Bimpe is taking selfies in Mr. Midas office as she waits for him. She calls Shalewa and asks if she saw the photos.
Mr Midas comes in and apologises to her. He says he was talking to some business partners in Rome.
Bimpe is impressed.
He says  he is offering her a 70/ 30 deal, she keeps 70 percent of the fees and the agency keeps 30; they will only do big jobs in advertising.
He lists all  the wonderful allowances her package comes with.
Bimpe is very excited.
She asks when she can meet his other clients.
He says there are none; he chose her out of the thousands who applied and he will make her the biggest star.
She says it is 'so awesome'.


Maro comes into Angela’s office to drop some files.
Angela is deep in her thoughts.
Maro tries to talk to her but Angela tells her to take the files to Brenda.
She gets a call and it's Fabian.
She asks what he meant by the text message he sent her.
Fabian tells her to ask Brenda about the Kwame Mensah foundation.
She warns him not to toy with her but he hangs up.


Amaka rushes into her car, scared. She starts to call Sankey as she sees a car pull up to the front of hers and blocks it.
Coach, Tsav’s former right hand man, gets out and knocks on her window. She's relieved when she sees him.

'Tinsel' Season 8 Episode 1775 Recap - Aired: Friday 13 May 2016

Obiora is behind the bar at Ziggy’s. Frank asks him if he's seen Chuks.
Obiora says Chuks is supposed to be at the venue taking care of the client
The client comes in, furious. He says the waiter is nowhere to be found.
Frank tells Obiora that Chuks left the party.
Obiora apologises to the client but he is very upset.
Obiora says they will work something out.


Brenda comes into Angela’s office.
She asks if Fabian has called again or sent a text.
Angela says he hasn't and his number is switched off, she tried to call back.
Angela starts to laugh, saying once you think you're out; they pull your back in. She says the nonsense has to stop and they need to put it behind them.
Brenda agrees; clearly relieved.


Frank commends Obiora on the way he handled the client.
Chuks comes in waving a white hanky.
Obiora is upset. He lets Chuks know that he is messing with their business.
Chuks says Obiora will not understand; he fell sick.
Obiora says he should have just said a masquerade took him.
Chuks says that lie is too much, even for him.
He confesses that he discovered that the MD of the company was his classmate.
Obiora says he should have just come clean.


Yaya is at home surfing the Web on her tablet. She comes across the review Tessa wrote about the 'Reel' movie, ‘The Lost Eagle 2’.
Tessa is still with her. She asks what part of the review Yaya liked.
Yaya reads out the part she liked.
They laugh about it and Tessa gets up to leave saying, all seem to be well with Yaya so she can now go.
Yaya thanks her for all her help. They make plans to hook up later.

Yaya is still talking when she cries out in pain and holds her stomach.
She says Tessa didn’t tell her the drug will be this painful.
Tessa says she has never taken it to know.
She wants to call an ambulance but Yaya tells her not to.
Yaya sits back down, moaning in pain as Tessa holds on to her.


Laide reads a review about the movie, ‘The Lost Eagle 2’ and the writer says it wouldn’t have been possible without the contribution of Sheila.
Laide is disgusted.
After reading, she is boiling. She picks up her phone and calls Harriett the reporter.
She asks Harriett if she will want to have an exclusive on ‘The Lost Eagle 2’.
Harriett, of course, is very interested.
Laide says it’s an interview and there’s a lot about the movie that the public deserves to know.
Harriet agrees then asks for the time and venue to meet up.


Brenda is in her office, she gets a call from an unknown number. She assumes it is Fabian and tells him that the money is gone so he should leave her alone.
It is Zane. She’s relieved.
Zane asks Brenda if Fabian is with her and Brenda says he not;  she got a call from an unknown number so she assumed it was Fabian.
She informs him that Fabian contacted Angela and he says he knows who killed Masters.
Zane says he will handle it.
Brenda begs him not to do anything drastic.


Frank tells Chuks that he needs to behave himself and not allow what he did to the client, get back to his father- in-law because they are just beginning to get along.
Obiora says Chuks needs to do something for them and that is, to get a job.
Frank says he has to focus on one thing and stop being a jack of all trade.
Obiora hands him a flyer saying ‘Odyssey Pictures’ is looking for a costume designer and if it doesn't work, he should try other production companies.
Chuks collects the flyer from him.

Philip comes home and sees Yaya, clutching her tummy and moaning.
He ask what is wrong and she says she doesn’t know.
Tessa takes her leave.
Philip wants to call a doctor but Yaya tells him not to, that it’s just her period and he can make her the tea he usually makes for her.


Sankey comes into Brenda's office and starts to play with Kwame.
She asks for his name and Brenda says his name is Kwame Mensah.
She casually drops the bombshell that Brenda named the foundation after him.
Brenda is shocked.
Sankey shows her the document that shows she set up a foundation.
Brenda says that it is not fully set up yet.
Sankey asks for the account number so she can make a donation.
Brenda knows there's something up; she repeats that it is not fully operational yet.
Sankey is smiling like all is well.


Amaka comes to see Angela at work
Angela is happy.  Amaka says she read about the death of Alhaji.
She tells Angela that if she needs to talk, she's right there.


Yaya is still writhing in pain and telling Philip not to call the hospital. They look for how to manage bad cramps on the internet.


Chuks calls the number on the flyer and introduces himself as Chuks Obi, fashion designer, Clothier and costume designer.
Odum asks if he's the same Chuks and says he's bold to be calling him after all he did.
Chuks lies that he just called to say ‘Hi’.


Chuks calls’ Reel Studios’; he introduces himself the same way and says he sent in his CV.
 Fumi gives him an appointment for next week.


Brenda is in her bedroom when Zane walks in. She is shocked and excited.
She rushes to him and he grabs her in a tight hug. They kiss.


Laide tells Harriet that she wants everything on record.
She says the movie could have had a better premiere if not for Sheila and her lover, showing up.
She says Sheila and her family have been accused of war crimes.
Harriet says Sheila has not been charged with any crime.
Laide says it won't be the first time a guilty party has walked free.
She says not one good movie was made under Sheila’s leadership at Reel because of scandals; she and her family have succeeded in soiling Fred Ade-Williams’ good name.

'Tinsel' Season 8 Episode 1774 Recap - Aired: Thursday 12 May 2016

Chuks is at home, talking on the phone with Ene.
Frank is in the flat, fiddling with his phone.
Ene is beating herself up for scoring 92 percent in a test. Chuks tells her it is a very good score but she says she wanted to score 100 percent.

After the call, he looks moody.
Frank asks him what the issue is and he tells Frank that Ene deserves more than the life he's giving her.
Frank tells him not to lose hope, something will happen.


Richard asks Tessa if Yaya has told her about him.
Tessa says Yaya kind of mentioned him.
Yaya is obviously upset at having him there. She asks him what he's up to.
He says he came to be with her and he loves her. He asks if she is acting up because of Tessa.
Tessa tells him to leave because he upset her friend. She calls him a creep.
He stares at Yaya long and hard then storms out of the bar.


Chuks calls his mum on the phone.
The mum says she's concerned about Ene being far away.
Chuks says they talk everyday.
The mum asks if he takes time to” romance her on the phone” when they talk.
Chuks is shocked. He says he tries.
She asks how exactly he starts the conversation.
Chuks starts to pretend there is a poor network connection and he’s unable to hear her.


Sankey and Segun discuss a case. Sankey is upset with him because he doesn't have enough evidence on the suspect.
The ICC agent calls Sankey and says he found another account Brenda opened for the Kwame Mensah foundation.
Sankey says she needs the details of the account so she can also check it out.


At Reel, Philip, Laide, Amaka, Dr. Gyang and Dikibo are in a meeting.
Dikibo asks the others if they saw Tessa's critique on the movie.
Everyone is happy with her work and the tribute she wrote about Fred.
Philip says she wrote something good about Sheila too.
Laide gets upset and makes up an excuse to leave.


Brenda reads something on her system that upset her.
She calls Nnenna and tells her to set up an urgent meeting with the staff.
She gets a call from Fabian and as he begins his usual threats, she drops the phone.


Chuks enters Ziggy’s and asks Obiora if they will cater at the customer's event.
Obiora says they will. Chuks tells Obiora that he can assist them at the event, for a small fee.
Obiora says they can manage. He tells Frank to take a carton of drinks to the venue but Frank falls down with the carton.
Chuks smiles and tells Obiora that they need him.
Obiora gives in.


Yaya is waiting in the car for Tessa who has gone to get the abortion pills.
She gets back into the car and hands Yaya the drug.
Yaya asks if she's sure she wasn't being followed.  Tessa says she wasn't.
Yaya asks how she was able to get them to sell it to her.
Tessa says she dazzled them with her british accent.
Yaya thanks her for getting the drug.


Brenda informs the staff that she got an email from World Movies saying they want to pull out of the contract because of the quality of the treatment they are getting.
Brenda berates the Team for the poor treatment they’ve produced and orders them to write fresh pitches.


Brenda is in Angela’s office.  Angela calls one of the bosses at world movies and asks what's going on.
He says his people didn't think their pitch was fantastic.
Angela says they will send more stories before the close of the day.
He says it won't hurt to try.
Brenda commends Angela for saving the day.
Fabian calls Angela. As soon as Brenda hears her mention his name, she snatches the phone from her ear and tells her never to speak to him.
Angela is stunned.


Laide meets Philip at Ziggy’s. He tells her he realised she hasn't been getting the credit she deserves and he wants to let her know he appreciates her effort on the movie.
She says he's telling her in private and no one cares about the movie because the Guardias have come to soil the work.
She says she will only continue at Reel if he has nothing to do with the Guardias.
He reminds her that he is married to one.
Laide carries on about Sheila and how she is a Guardia.
Philip tells her he will not sit and allow an outsider tell him how to run his family's affairs.
Laide is deeply offended by the word “outsider”.
He tries to apologise but she walks out.


Angela asks Brenda why she snatched her phone like that.
Brenda tells her that Fabian will never have anything good to say.
Angela says she would like to be the judge of that.
Brenda reminds her that Fabian wanted her killed and has been stalking her (Brenda) for months.
Angela says she knows there is something up because Brenda looked really panicked when she took the phone.
Fabian calls back and tells Angela that he's sorry for her loss.
She drops the phone and begins to gasp for air.
Brenda rushes to her side and asks what he said.
Angela tells Brenda that she now knows who killed Masters.


Chuks enters the bar very unhappy and says he's not going to be a waiter at the party anymore.
Frank asks him why.
Chuks says that the celebrant is an old classmate and the party is to celebrate his promotion at an oil company.
Frank says Chuks still has to go back and work at the party.
Chuks says “lai lai”.

Tessa is with Yaya at home. She reads out the instructions on the drug and says Yaya needs to take it with someone present, just in case.
Yaya says Tessa is there so she will just take it.
She gets a glass of water and Tessa asks if she's sure.
Yaya says she is, she collects the drug and swallows it.

'Tinsel' Season 8 Episode 1773 Recap - Aired: Wednesday 11 May 2016

Chief Dike and Chuks are playing draft.
They talk in parables as they play, using it as form of sarcasm to take jibes at each other.
When it starts to get a bit heated, Aunty Nonye comes in to ask if all is well.
They tell her everything is fine.


Tsav is still alive.
Caeser is laughing like a lunatic.
Tsav says it is clear he doesn't want to kill him.
Ceaser says if he wanted him dead, he'd be dead by now.
Tsav reminds him that if he dies, the diamonds die with him.
Ceaser points the gun in his face again and threatens him.


Chuks is back home, talking to Ene on the phone.
He tells her that he won her father in a game of draft.
Ene says she will call her dad to confirm..
Frank comes in looking hungry. He says he needs a home cooked meal.
Chuks asks if he will eat noodles.
He asks how the bonding session with the father-in-law went.
Chuks says it went well, they watched a Nigerian league match.



Nosa enters Angela's office. She's pleasantly surprised and rushes to give him a hug.
He tells her that Brenda wouldn't let him or his family members near Kwame.
Angela says Brenda has been through a lot and feels the need to over protect Kwame.
She tells him that Kwame is a joy to be with and he needs to play his role as the dad.
Nosa says whether Brenda likes it or not,  he will play his role in Kwame’s life.


Amaka, Philip, Laide and Dr. Gyang are in a meeting. They are happy with the reviews the movie is getting.
Philip says the letters from Fred had a lot to do with it.
Laide says they shouldn't bring that up in the meeting especially as they can't pull such a stunt again.
Amaka points out the fact that this is one of the best projects Reel Studios has produced.


Sankey is in her office.  She calls the FDA agent to ask if he has any new leads on Fabian.
He says they froze all his accounts and they have not been able to find him.
Sankey tells him that Fabian broke into Brenda's house and she would like him to dig deep into Brenda's accounts to see if there are any suspicious transactions.


Chief Dike enters Ziggy’s and Obiora asks if he needs anything.
He says he just came to look around.
He sees Chuks chatting with Frank. Frank is not at the bar but sitting at a table with Chuks.
He goes up to them and says they’re sitting idle when others are busily working, so their meeting must be important .
Chuks makes a face.
Chief turns to face Frank.
Frank says he has been doing his job and the customers are happy.
Chief says “all that, just to open a bottle of beer?”.
Frank says he's a professional bartender.
Chief asks if he's married and Frank says no.
He says, no wonder; no woman will marry a lazy gossiping barman.

Chief turns back to ask Chuks if he saw his Facebook friend request.
Chuks says there hasn’t been network on his phone.
Chief tells him to bring his phone and he will provide network from his own phone. He says Ene taught him how to do it.
Chuks is thinking of a way out of the situation.


Angela enters Brenda’s office.
She brings up Nosa’s issue.
Brenda says he had the nerve to come and ask about Kwame.
Angela begs her to give him a chance.
She repeats what Nosa told her about driving away with Kwame.
Brenda begins to do what she does badly, lie.
She says that she left Kwame’s bag at home so she went to retrieve it.
Angela says she left for quite a while.
Brenda says she had to change him and feed him
Angela gives her the look that says ‘I know you’re hiding something’

St. John meets Reuben at a restaurant and tells him that Sheila is hurting and he knows they both love each other.
Reuben says Sheila sees him as a toyboy who should be at her beck and call when she needs him.
St.John says just because Sheila doesn't want marriage doesn't mean she doesn’t love him and they should just talk things over.
Reuben says there is no need; they should just let time heal the pain.
St. John tells him that he is making a mistake.
Reuben says he has no desire to get back with Sheila.


Frank thanks Chuks for allowing his father-in- law run him down.
Chuks says it's a good thing he has seen it for himself
Obiora asks Chuks if that's the way Chief will keep sneaking up on them because he brings down the mood of the bar.
A customer comes in and asks Obiora if they provide outdoor catering services.
Obiora says they don't do it but Chuks cuts him off and tells the man to give them a minute.
The man excuses them and Chuks asks the guys if they don’t want to make a quick buck.
Obiora says they don’t do outdoor catering anymore.
Chuks says they still have the contacts of the vendors so they can just call them up and make some extra money.


Zane calls Brenda on the phone.
 She says if he's calling to find out if she's keeping his secret the answer is ‘yes’.
He asks how Kwame is doing and says he's sorry and wishes he could be there to protect her.
She tells him to come home tonight.
He says maybe.


Yaya and Tessa are at Ziggy’s.  Yaya says she doesn't think abortion pills is something you can just get over the counter.
They laugh about it then Richard suddenly appears and introduces himself.
Tessa is excited to meet him but she looks at Yaya's face and immediately knows something is wrong.

'Tinsel' Season 8 Episode 1772 Recap - Aired: Tuesday 10 May 2016

Chuks is at Ziggy’s with Frank. He tells Frank all that happened with his father-in-law.
Frank tells him that he has to find a way to make up with him once and for all.
Chuks threatens to call him and give him the length of his tongue.
Frank asks why he didn't do it when he was there.


Amaka asks St. John where he found the diamonds. She denies knowing anything about them.
St. John says Cosmo knew when he checked the room the day she dropped them off.
He says he (St. John) was the one who encouraged Tsav to write her a note when he was scared to come clean about his past.
She says she doesn't want them with her and he tells her to keep them because the ICC agents may search the house again.


Aunt Nonye is playing with Amara at her Ene’s parents’ place.
Chief Dike enters and Aunt Nonye tells him that she wants to discuss something with him.
She says she heard the things he said to Chuks earlier and she feels he was rather harsh.
Chief says he is pushing Chuks to be more responsible.
She tells him to get to know him and maybe they have something in common.
She reminds him that when he was a struggling young man, he was the last of his friends to buy a bicycle so he should try to know Chuks for Ene and Amara's sakes.


Brenda is in the car park. She gets a call from Zane. She is shocked.
She asks where he is and he says he will text her an address; she would delete it and make sure she's not followed.
She agrees and he ends the call.
She opens her car and picks Kwame up.
Nosa shows up from nowhere and asks her if she would like some help with him
He is wearing a cap and sunglasses.

She tells him not to come closer.
He says his mother came to visit and she was rude to her; she can insult him but not his mother.
She says she doesn't care what he says.
He says that was why he left her.
She tells him her lawyer will be in touch and he says he will come for his son.
She drives away.


St John asks Sheila about Tsav and if she knows of anything of value that will make them kidnap him
She says maybe the diamonds and he asks what diamonds, pretending not to know anything.
She says her mother owned them and she hopes that Tsav hasn't connived with her again.
St John says Tsav will never do that.


Chuks is still at Ziggy’s. He gets a call from his father-in-law.
Chief asks if Chuks likes football. Chuks responds in the affirmative.
He then tells Chuks that the match will soon start and he should come over to the house to watch.
Chuks says he will be there.
After the call, Chuks tells Frank what Chief said and Frank is excited for him.
Chuks says he doesn't trust the man and he thinks it's a trap.
Sheila leaves the house and St. John calls Amaka to tell her that Sheila doesn't know where the diamonds are.
Amaka suggests they tell her but St John says Sheila has been through a lot and he wants it kept away from her.


Nnenna sends for Maro and gives her a box of cupcakes. She says she wants to thank her for inspiring her and her work on theTV show.
Maro eats one of the cupcakes then Nnenna asks her when the script to the pilot will be ready.
Maro makes a long hiss, drops the half-eaten cake back in the box then walks away.


Brenda is now with Zane. He has Kwame in his lap.
Brenda looks anxious so Zane tells her to relax. He asks how she is and she tells him she just ran into her ex and Fabian popped up at her house last night so she can’t be fine.
He is shocked that Fabian saw her and promises to take care of it.
She tells him that she can take care of herself.


Amaka and St. John are with Sankey at the station. She tells them there is no new information and if they have any she will get in touch with them.
Amaka is upset but Sankey tells her she is only being polite because of St. John but this should be the last time Amaka calls her except she is called for.

Chuks gives Chief Dike a bottle of wine.
Chief says concerning what happened earlier, he forgives Chuks because any man would react the same way and he hopes they can get to know each other.
Chuks is happy. He looks at the time and says the match has started.
Chief says that's what he is watching, the Eyimba match.
Chuks says that's not the match, its on another Channel.
Chief asks if he’s one of those who do not support their local clubs.
Chuks says the Eyimba match is fine.
 He looks like he wants to cry.


Brenda tells Zane that she is fine and Fabian will not be able to do anything to her because she called Sankey.
Zane panics and asks why she called the police.
Brenda says her baby was in the house and she needed the police.
He wants to know what Sankey asked her; did she mention his  name and Alhaji's.
Brenda gets upset and says she thought he actually wanted to see her because he missed her just like she did him but now she sees he just wanted to get information from her.
She says he should have thought about what he was doing before he went ahead and did them because she will not be used.
He tries to plead with her but she takes her baby and leaves.


Caeser is eating and a hungry and tired Tsav is watching. Caeser laughs at him and says he knows what to do for all this to be over.
Tsav says he will never get the diamonds.
Caeser threatens to kidnap his sisters but Tsav doesn’t budge.
Caeser then brings out a gun and tells him that he has one last chance. Tsav says he will never get the diamonds.
The gun goes off 3 times.

'Tinsel' Season 8 Episode 1771 Recap - Aired: Monday 9 May 2016

Chuks is at home eating indomie.
He gets a call from Ene and in the course of their discussions, he boasts about the nice meal he made.
Ene says she know he’s eating Indomie. Chuks is surprised that she can tell.
She tells him to check one of her bags for her mother's beads then take them to her because her sister needs to use the beads.
Chuks is not keen on visiting her parents.
She asks if he has any leads on the applications he sent out and he says he believes something will come up soon.
They chat some more.




Brenda's phone is ringing. She tells  Fabian, who is still staring at her like he wants to attack, that it is Sankey calling so he needs to leave.
He tells her not to threaten him while her son is just metres away.
He suddenly walks out of the flat so she answers the phone that hasn’t stopped ringing.
Sankey wants to come over but Brenda tells her that Fabian has gone and she just wants to be alone.
Sankey says she will send her men to check the area.


Chuks is at Ziggy’s with Frank and Obiora. Frank asks if he has found a job yet.
Chuks says things in the country have been difficult lately.
He asks Frank and Obiora when they will be free so that they can accompany him to see Amara.
Frank asks why he needs company to go and see his own child.
Obiora says they will not be able to leave the bar.


St. John sees a moody Sheila and asks her what is wrong. She tells him that Reuben broke up with her.
He consoles her and tells her to give Reuben time to come to terms with the decision.


Brenda is in her living room. Sankey and her men are also there.
Sankey asks why Fabian is coming to her all of a sudden.
She asks if it has anything to do with Zane.
Brenda says she doubts that they know each other, then she says she thinks it is because of Angela; Angela is back in town and Fabian shows up.
Sankey looks like she is not buying it.


Amaka is in Philip's office reading a review of the movie. Philip complains that they keep comparing him to his father.
She tells him that they will always do that.
She asks if Yaya enjoyed the premiere and he says he doesn't understand her these days.


Chuks is at his in-laws' place, playing with Amara.
His father-in-law comes out and asks why Chuks has not been picking his calls.
Chuks give a lame excuse of his phone not ringing out or showing missed calls sometimes.
The father-in-law wants to know what Chuks has been doing to keep himself busy.
Chuks says he has been trying but things are bad generally.
Ene’s father says he can never recommend Chuks to anyone for a job.
Chuks says he's an entrepreneur and he generates his own money.
The father-in-law asks if he generates the money by using Amara for adverts.
Chuks doesn’t respond.


Dr. Gyang meets Laide in the board room of Reel Studios, at her request. She complains about doing a job and people not giving her the due credit. She says Sheila didn't work on the movie yet she is getting credit for it.
Dr. Gyang tries to calm her down.


Sankey enters Angela's office and says she needs to be more careful and keep her doors locked at all times because Fabian broke into Brenda's house.
She says she tried to get some information from Brenda but she wasn't forth coming so maybe she will talk with a friend.
Angela calls Brenda on the phone but she doesn't really get any new information.
Sankey concludes that something is off.


Sankey is in the station reviewing Brenda's statement.
She insinuates that Brenda lied in her official statement.
Segun is surprised that a woman of Brenda’s standing will lie in her statement.
Sankey says Fabian should not be attacking Brenda to get to Angela; there is something fishy and she will get to the bottom of it.


Tessa comes to see Yaya at home.
Yaya says she will not be able to make the London trip anymore.
Tessa says Yaya can get rid of the baby by herself; people do it all the time.
Yaya asks how she can get the drugs herself; she can't just walk into a pharmacy.
Tessa says she won't be going to the pharmacy all by herself.
Yaya is happy that Tessa is willing to do it for her.


Chuks is still at his in-laws', watching something funny on TV and laughing.
His father-in-law is clearly irritated. He asks Chuks if he keeps up with the news at all and how would he be successful if he doesn't know what is happening around him.
He also asks if Chuks is going back to school. He tells Chuks to get his act together so he (Ene’s father) won't have to be the one to pay Amara's school fees.
Chuks get upset and tells him to have a nice day and with that, he walks out.


Nosa's mother and Ehigie come to see Brenda.
She calls the baby another name and Brenda says his name is Kwame.
Nosa’s mother says a boy should bear his father's name. She accuses Brenda of being too proud..
Brenda gets up and says her butler will show them out.


Amaka is in her office, looking worried. She calls Sankey and leaves her a voicemail asking if she she's found out anything about Tsav.
St. John comes in to see her and hands her the pouch with the diamonds. She had hidden it in Sheila’s house where she thought no one would find it.
He says he only came to return it.
Amaka is shocked.
