'East Meets West' Season 1 Episode 20 Recap - Aired: Wednesday 25 May 2016

Anjana asks Rheka what’s happening in the house.
Rheka says grandmother is having an event.
Anjana complains about who will do the work.
Rheka says there are servants for that.


Udey is reading the papers. Lumita serves him tea.  He collects it with a frown.
She fearfully asks if the sugar is fine and if they would go out today.
He smiles and says the sugar is okay and they will go out.
Lumita smiles with relief.



Grandmother’s sister and her friends arrive.
The aunt complains about what Lisa is wearing. She says she should dress traditional.
Ranbir says Lisa is a foreigner.
Aunty tells everyone to sit and start the prayers, then she says the prayer is to be said by the new daughter-in-law.
Lisa panics.
Lisa is put in the middle of the circle and told to say the prayer.
Lisa is unable to.
The aunt says Lisa can never be one of them.
She says the other daughter in law, Lumita, could have said the prayers.

The aunt says the prayers.

Lisa phones Abhay, crying. She says she really wants to be a part of the family but they expect her to change overnight. She says she needs some time.
She tells him what happened at the prayer session.
He tells her to forget the guests as long as no one in the family said anything.
Lisa says she will try to adjust.


Udey and Lumita go out and he gets her ice cream. They play with it.
Udey thinks sometimes he feels he's making a mistake when he thinks she is not happy with him but he knows something is up.


After the guests leave, grandmother says she's happy she did it.
Ranbir says it's good to pray to the goddess. He says Uma should always pray to the goddess.
Anjana asks if Lisa shouldn't learn to pray too.
Uma says Lisa embarrassed them in front of grandmother guests.
Lisa comes downstairs and apologises to them all and says she will try.
Grandmother tells her not to worry, at least she tried. Rhama also tells her not to worry, with time she will learn everything.


Banwari tells Ranbir that Lisa has the courage to accept her mistakes and she will learn quickly.
Ranbir says that's exactly what he wants.


Anjana is with Rheka again, gossiping. She asks if she saw what happened at the prayer with Lisa.
Rheka says she likes what happened.
Lisa enters the room and tells Rheka that she apologised to the family.
Rheka says she didn't need to apologise, what happened was Ranbir’s fault and he just pretends in front of her.
Anjana says it true but Lisa says she doesn't agree.
Rheka tells her to sit so they can talk but Lisa says she has to go and attend to grandmother.
Rheka starts to think that she now understands want Ranbir is doing and says she will come up with a new method to keep Udey and Lumita apart for ever.


Lisa goes to give Rhama her medicine. As Lisa  is helping to adjust the blanket on the bed, Ranbir comes in and sees her.
He tells Rhama that they have an appointment with the doctors.
He helps her out of bed and Lisa joins him in supporting Rhama.


Lisa is in the kitchen trying to cook. There is a huge mess on the table.
Uma comes in and Lisa asks for the vegetable cutter.
Uma says she doesn’t know her way around the kitchen as it is not her job.
She points out with disgust that Lisa made a mess.
She says she wants coffee and Lisa should bring it to her in the living room because she can’t stand the sight of the mess.

Lisa goes to ask Uma how many sugars she needs.
Uma tells her to just bring the sugar to her, she will take what she needs.
Rhama and Ranbir return from the hospital.
She sees Lisa and says it seems she has been working in the kitchen all alone.
Lisa says she has and Rhama offers to help her.
Uma says Rhama should rest.
Lisa says she will manage; Rhama needs her rest.
Ranbir says Lisa is right. He tells her to make him a cup of tea too.
Ranbir leaves them and goes to his room. He begins to search the room.
Rhama thanks Lisa for the tea and Uma says hers is not bad.
Lisa is happy...but not for long.

Ranbir comes down to tell Rhama that he can't find his packet of valuables.
She tells him to search the room and he says he has searched.
She asks who was there and he says he and Rhama... and Lisa.
He suggests that they check Lisa’s room.
Liam says she hasn't stolen anything and Ranbir always treats her like this.
Grandmother tells her not to take it that way.
Lisa is crying.  Rhama consoles her.
Ranbir says they should all go and check for the package.


Banwari comes downstairs and says everyone has looked for the package in their rooms so Lisa should go and search hers.
Lisa says she won't go because Ranbir already accused her.
Rhama consoles her.
Lisa says she is from a good family.
Ranbir asks why won't she go and check. Lisa says everyone already suspects her because of what Ranbir said.
Ranbir says she left him no choice.
He goes to her room to check.
 Rhama and Banwari are watching him.

Lisa phones Abhay and cries to him on the phone. She says it's his father again.
Abhay says he knows his family loves her and they have accepted her.
He doesn't wait for her to tell him the actual story before he hangs up.


Back in the hotel room, Udey tells Lumita that they've see all the tourist attractions and there's nothing left to see so what does she think they should do.
She asks him what he thinks is appropriate.
He holds her hand and says they've spent so much time together but he still feels like he doesn't know her.
She withdraws her hand and walks away.
Udey calls reception and Lumita asks if they are leaving.
Udey is clearly upset. He says they are leaving, this evening.
They start packing and Lumita is thinking he is upset because of her but she is in a dilemma.

Lisa goes downstairs to tell grandmother that she is not happy with what is happening.
Rheka and Anjana are there.
Ranbir comes down and Banwari says he doesn't understand how such a package got missing.
Lisa says she told them she didn't take any package.
Anjana asks Ranbir why he would think that Lisa took a package.
Ranbir says they are just blowing the whole thing out of proportion; it’s not a big deal.


Rhama comes to meet Lisa in her room to console her. Lisa is still crying.
She says she can't stay anymore if Ranbir doesn't trust her.
She moves to the wardrobe to start packing her things.
Rhama is crying and pleading with her to stay but Lisa insists she must leave.
Banwari asks Ranbir what they would do now since they couldn't find the package.
 Ranbir says the package is safe with him.
Banwari is surprised. He commends Ranbir on a job well done.
Ranbir tells him to keep it to himself.


Rhama begs Lisa to stay.
Lisa leaves the room with her suitcase.
Rhama tells Ranbir to beg Lisa to stay.
Ranbir says he has accepted her into the house and she is leaving on her own.
Rhama says she is leaving because of what Ranbir accused her of.
Ranbir says he did nothing wrong and Lisa should know it is late at night and not safe to go outside.
He asks if Rhama wants him to get on his knees and beg Lisa.
Rhama says she doesn't want him to get on his knees, he should just tell her to stay.
Ranbir says he has had enough and they should go to bed. He drags Rhama with him.


Lisa walks with her suitcase to the front door, in tears.
She remembers the wedding day when she came into the house.

She gets to the front door and opens it.

'Saloni' Season 2 Episode 197 Recap - Aired: Wednesday 25 May 2016

Saloni meets a man on the road and asks for a shortcut to the hermitage and he shows her but warns that it is a bushy path so she needs to be careful.

The Shwarmi and his disciples are already leaving.


Saloni follows the path and gets injured in the foot by a piece of twig ibut she carries on.
She meets the car just as it is leaving, she holds on to the car and begs he Shwarmi to save her and her husband. The windows are tinted so she can't really see him.
The female disciple comes from behind and gives Saloni a slap.
Saloni falls back and the woman asks how dare she tries to see the Shwarmi's face.
Another lady holds Saloni and the car drives off.
Saloni overhears the other members say the Shwarmi will not be back for 6 months.
She starts to run after the car but Nahar stops her and says it seems God doesn't want to interfere.
Saloni says they've come too far to go back.

On their way, the Shwarmi's convoy meets a roadblock and they are told the road has been closed due to some works and it may take a while for the road to be opened again.
The female guru goes to inform the Shwarmi and they decide to go back.


Saloni is seated on the floor, looking miserable.
Nahar tells her they have to leave and she says she has faith on God.


Nahar gets a call from Varun but he is unable to hear properly so he moves away to get better signal.
Varun says Nahar made him a promise; he should take the medication he gave him.


The Shwarmi returns.
The  guru sees Saloni and some people, still waiting. She asks what they are still doing there.
Saloni begs her but the guru says they can't break the rules because it has already caused a bad omen which made them return.
She tells them to throw Saloni out and never allow her back in.
Saloni holds her feet and begs but they throw her out.

Nahar sees her outside and says Saloni should just accept that he will die.
Saloni says he won't die and God already allowed the Shwarmi come back so she will continue to come here till the Shwarmi sees her.


Back at home,  the family is listening to the news. They announce that there was a riot in the town Saloni and Nahar are in and there is a curfew.
Brajesh decides to call Nahar.
Nahar says he and Saloni are fine and they miss them.
The connection gets lost.

After the call,  Brajesh thinks Nahar is lying because he didn't even mention anything about the curfew or riot.


In the morning, Saloni tell Nahar that she wants them to get ready and go to the shwarmi.
Nahar says it is useless and he doesn't like the way they humiliated her.
He says he's not going anywhere because he wants peace; he actually came here to stop people at home from worrying about him.
Saloni says if he doesn't want to come, then she will go alone.


At the temple,  the people waiting outside are allowed to go in and see the Shwarmi and Saloni follows them.
The same lady comes out to address the crowd. She sees Saloni, then stops and angrily tells her to leave.
Saloni pleads with her that her husband is dying but the lady says she must leave.
Two women come to drag her but she continues to plead and one of the male disciples comes out to give her a bottle of medicine from the Shwarmi.
Saloni is very grateful.


Saloni gets outside and calls Nahar's phone, crying tears of joy.
She tells him what happened.


Varun goes back to his accomplice and says they've lost because the drug Saloni got for Nahar, will cure him .

The accomplice says he needs to find a way to get rid of Nahar.
Her face is revealed. Urvashi.


Mano visits the house, bringing gifts for everyone.
They tell her that Nahar and Saloni are out of town. They went to fulfil an oath.
Mano begins to think that the reason they went out of town may not actually be to fulfil an oath.


Saloni gets a call from Mano. Mano asks what is going on.
Saloni tells her the truth.
Mano says she wants to come and join them.


Nahar wakes up and he's so dizzy that he falls.  He crawls to get his medicine then crawls to get some water.
As he's about to put the medicine in his mouth, Saloni comes in and takes the drugs from him.She begs him to take the Shwarmi ly water.
He takes a sip then holds his head in pain.
Saloni says she wants to go and get the Shwarmi but he holds her and says she shouldn't go.

Saloni goes back to the hermitage and tells the disciple who gave her the medicine that it worsened her husband's condition.
The female guru overhears and tells Saloni to leave, for suspecting the Shwarmi's powers.
Saloni pleads but the lady walks away.
Saloni leaves the temple and sits outside.
A lady approaches her and tells her not to lose hope but to keep giving her husband the Holy water. She assures Saloni that the Shwarmi won't let anything happen to him.


Mano leaves the hospital and sees Varun outside. She asks him if he knows that Saloni and Nahar are out of town.
Varun denies at first but she tells him not to lie to her, so he admits.
She says she wants to go and meet them but Varun tells her not to go.
She agrees not to go.


Varun goes back to Urvashi and Urvashi says he did the right thing by stopping Mano from going because she is very sharp.
She tells him to think of what to do.


Varun calls Nahar to find out if he is taking the medicine.
 Nahar says if the medicine can't keep him alive, why is Varun bothered that he takes them.
Varun says it will give him more days.
Nahar says he won't stop taking the medicine.
Varun is happy.


Brajesh is with Veer in the office.
A lawyer comes in and tells Brajesh that Nahar asked him to come so he can write out his will. Brajesh and Veer are shocked.
Brajesh starts to wonder why Nahar wants to write a will.
He concludes that something is definitely wrong.


At night, Nahar screams in pain and tells Saloni that his head is hurting. He tells her to get him some poison.
Saloni  gives him some of the Shwarmi Holy water.
He lies back in bed and after some minutes, he says he feels good , like he has woken up from a good sleep.
In the morning, he says he feels alive and no longer weak.
He tells Saloni to follow him outside to the open sky.


They go out of the room and Nahar cannot keep his hands off her.
Saloni tells him she will be back.
She goes back to the room and calls Varun on the phone.
She tells him that Nahar is getting well; the Shwarmi medicine is working on him.
Varun is not happy, he says it may seem that way but the germs will soon overpower him.
He asks if she is still giving Nahar the medication.
Saloni says from now on he will only take the medicine from the Shwarmi.


Varun goes back to Urvashi and they start to think of ways to fix the problem.


Saloni goes back to the temple and sees the female guru, she informs her that her husband is now recovering.
Guru says she is not surprised because she knows the powers the Shwarmi possesses.
Saloni thanks her and she walks away.
One devotee tells Saloni that tomorrow is a special day; the Shwarmi will bless the people with Holy water.
He says it's just for a chosen few and Saloni has to be there because if Nahar partakes,  no power can stop his recovery.

'East Meets West' Season 1 Episode 19 Recap - Aired: Tuesday 24 May 2016

Udey and Lumita are in their hotel room, getting ready for bed.
Udey holds Lumita and touches her hair while looking lovingly into her eyes.
His phone starts to ring but he ignores it. It keeps ringing, so Lumita tells him to answer it.
He picks up ad it’s his mother, Rheka.
He tells her that everything is fine.
He gives the phone to Lumita and Rheka tells her not to forget what the priest said.
After the call, Udey holds her again but Lumita says she’s very tired and she goes to lie down on her side of the bed, facing the wall.
Udey is not happy about this; he gets on his own side of the bed.



Abhay is thinking of what he overheard his father saying, about wanting Lisa to stay back in India when Abhay travels.
He decides that he will make his father happy by asking Lisa to stay back.
In the morning, Lisa wakes him up and he tells her he has seen how she is trying to fit into the family; she now wakes up early.
She says she's doing it all for him and the family.
He tells her that he's been thinking about going to America alone. She asks why?
He says his mum is ill and his father has just started accepting her so it's not a good time to leave.
Lisa says his mum is fine and she can get close to his dad when they get back.
Abhay insists that he wants her to stay back. She gets upset and leaves the room.

Lumita wakes up in the morning and Udey is still asleep.  He wakes up shortly after and she asks if she should order tea for him.
He leaves the room in anger but comes back to ask if she wants to stay in the hotel or go out.
She says whatever he wants to do and he says they will go out.


At breakfast, Rheka asks when grandfather and the couple are leaving.  Grandfather asks Abhay if they will be done packing today.
Abhay says he will be done packing.
Rheka says what about Lisa.  Lisa says she is not going; it is her decision.
Rheka asks why and she says her mother-in-law is not feeling well.
Rhama says Lisa shouldn't stay back because of her as she is okay now.
Rheka too says Lisa has to go.
Ranbir says Lisa has made a wise decision.
Grandfather says in that case, they should get packing.


Udey and Lumita go out into the town again to sightsee.
He takes her shopping. She tries on the outfit and he's really pleased with what he sees.
Back home, Abhay is packing and Lisa is upset.
He tells her he is lucky to have her as his wife and she says she is lucky too and will try to adjust when he's not around and she will take care of his family.


Abhay and grandfather say their goodbyes to the family.
Rheka still brings up the matter of Lisa not going. She tells Ranbir that his daughter-in-law should be allowed to go.
Ranbir’s response is that Lisa is HIS daughter-in- law. His emphasis is a way or telling her to mind her own business.


Udey gets a call from the hotel manager inviting him to a party the hotel is having.
He tells Lumita to get ready for the party and helps her pick out what to wear.
He tells her to meet him downstairs.
Lumita dresses up then goes downstairs to meet Udey.
He is speechless when he sees her. He walks up to her and takes her to the dance floor.
As he tries to dance with her, she turns away, remembering what Rheka said.
She says she wants to go back to the room.

In the room, Udey asks her what is wrong; doesn't she like him because she keeps pulling away from him. He says if she didn't want the marriage, she shouldn’t have gone through with it.
Lumita tries to explain but Udey says he doesn't want to hear it; he’s convinced that she never accepted him as her husband.
Lumita is in tears.


In the morning, the house phone rings and Nena answers the call.
After the call, she is in tears as she informs the family that her mother has fallen ill so she has to go.
Grandmother sympathises with her and says they will give her some money to go.
Banwari asks if they should allow her go on her own and Ranbir says they will send the male servant to go with her.
He gives the man some money to take Nena home.
When the rest of the family clears out of the living room, Ranbir commends Banwari on the good job he did.
He says they will now see how Lisa will take care of the family by herself.


Lumita wakes up and Udey is not in the room.
He comes in from the bathroom and she asks if she should order him tea. He says no but he picks the phone and orders tea for himself.
Ranbir sees Rhama helping Lisa in the kitchen.  He tells Rhama to go and rest.
Lisa says she will manage it.
Rhama says she won't be able to handle it alone but Ranbir says Lisa will learn if she is given the chance.


Lumita tells Udey that she is going to take a shower.
He ignores her.
Rheka calls and asks him what's wrong. He says everything is fine but she insists that he tells her.
He says he doesn't think Lumita is happy and instead of growing closer, they're drifting apart.
Rheka says this was what she was afraid of, she says she wants him happy but Lumita is his wife and he needs to look after her.
Lumita gets out of the bathroom and Udey is not in the room. She phones the manager and asks where Udey is.
The manager says he left the hotel so she asks how she can make a call with the  hotel phone and he tells her how.


Lisa takes milk to grandmother in her room and tells her to remember to take her drugs.
Grandmother says Lisa should be honest with her; she must be feeling bad that Udey and Lumita are on theri honeymoon while she is at home.
Lisa says she is not feeling bad because Udey and Lumita needed the honeymoon.
Ranbir is outside listening and seems to feel a little bit of remorse.


Lumita walks to the beach looking for Udey.
She hears people talking about a man that drowned and she rushes to the scene.
The man is lying face down in a shirt similar to Udey's.

She looks up and sees Udey. She rushes to him, relieved and hugs him in tears.
She asks why he left her and he tells her not to cry.
They get to their room and she's still crying.  He begs her not to cry and she asks why he left.
He said he needed some time alone and he didn't know it would take long.
She begs him not to be worried because her.
He says he knows she has a good heart and won't want to hurt anyone.
He tells her to rest and she says she knows he hasn't eaten.
He calls room service and orders food for them.
Lumita thinks about how lucky she is to have a person like Udey and how she is torn by the secret.

Lisa calls Abhay at night. She says she's missing him and he says he misses her too and he will be back as soon as possible.
He gets another call and they say their goodbyes.


Ranbir and Rhama are together. Grandmother joins them and says she was thinking that it's been long since they had a prayer ceremony at home and they should have one.
Ranbir says they can have it today.
Grandmother says Nena and Nando are not home.
Rhama says she will handle it and Ranbir says they should have another one when Udey and Lumita come back.
Rhama tells Lisa about the prayers and tells her to try not to make any mistakes.  Ranbir is listening.

'Saloni' Season 2 Episode 196 Recap - Aired: Tuesday 24 May 2016

Brajesh and Tara tell Nahar to do something different.
Nahar tells Saloni that after seeing her, he realised his life is incomplete without her and he wants to live and die in her arms.
Saloni has tears in her eyes as she accepts the flower.
They hug tightly as the family watches them.
Nahar passes out while leaning on Saloni.
Varun quickly turns off the power and helps Saloni get Nahar out of the house.
When the power comes back on, the rest of the family start to wonder where Saloni and Nahar might have gone.



Varun is driving them to the hospital.
Brajesh calls Saloni’s phone and she tells him that Nahar is taking her on a long romantic drive.


At the hospital, Nahar is hooked on to a machine.
Saloni is waiting in the hallway.
She asks a nurse if Nahar is fine but the nurse ignores her.
She runs into the hospital prayer room and threatens that if Nahar is not healed, she will stop serving God. As she turns to leave, a man who looks like a priest stops her.
He listens to Saloni and he gives her directions to a place out of town where she can get help for Nahar.
She asks who he is but he tells her it is not important.
He tells her to go to the hermitage before the full moon
Saloni says it's just 3 days left but she will go.


She enters Nahar's hospital room and sees he has regained consciousness.
Saloni tells Nahar about the hermitage the man told her about and says they have to go there.
Varun says Saloni is supposed to be educated yet she believes in such.
He says he won't allow Nahar leave the hospital.
Nahar says he will go home first because the family will get worried.
Varun insists Nahar stays in the hospital but Nahar is bent on going home.
Varun desperately wants Nahar to stay back but Nahar says Varun can't save him for long so what is the point? He may as well go home and be surrounded by family.

Varun marches in anger to meet his partner in crime, informing her that Saloni has found out about a hermitage where people get healed but he has done his job; he has given Nahar more drugs to weaken him so much that nothing can save him.

Nahar and Saloni return home to a lot of teasing and compliments.


Next day, Mano comes to the house for prayers with the family.
Nahar begins to get a headache as Tara rings the prayer bell. When he can't take it anymore, he takes the bell and throws it on the ground, then stalks off.
Saloni tries to make an excuse for him. She tells them that he has been disturbed since morning.

She goes after him and sees him holding his head in the room.
He tells her to leave him alone for a while.
Saloni says she will get him medicine but he yells that he doesn't need any medicine. Saloni holds him and Nahar says he's sorry for what he did downstairs; the chime of the bell sounded like someone was taking a hammer to his head.
Saloni says he's not to blame.
She brings the medicine but he says there's no point to it.


Babho tells Tara that she has never seen Nahar like this.
Tara says she has been noticing for some days now that he has been acting strange.
Babho says he may need to rest from work.
Brajesh is standing in the doorway. He says he's also bothered by Nahar's condition and he wants to find out, maybe he's in trouble.


Tara tells Saloni that Brajesh wants Nahar downstairs. Nahar comes out of the room and apologises to Tara.
Tara says she knows his head was hurting that was why and it's not a problem.


Saloni and Nahar get downstairs and see a doctor with Brajesh.
Brajesh says he knows Nahar is not feeling well and he wants him to explain to the doctor.
Nahar panics and says he is fine.
Brajesh suggests he gets a checkup because he has been getting weaker by the day.
Nahar says he's fine, he turns to Babho but Babho tells him that there's no harm in getting a check up; everyone's doubts will be cleared.
Nahar says he's perfectly fine and Varun has been taking care of him.
Brajesh says Varun is his friend; he should let someone else check him.
Saloni says if Nahar is in any trouble, she would know.
Brajesh insists on the check up and the doctor says he will schedule an appointment for tomorrow.
Nahar meets with Varun and Varun says he's a specialist on the matter and no other doctor can give Nahar the drugs he needs.
He says Nahar should remember that if another doctor finds out what is wrong with him,  his family will get to know his secret.

Nahar gets home upset and tells Saloni that if he gets the check-up the entire family will know.
He tells her that he saw Varun and he says he should just wait for death.
Saloni suggests they go to the hermitage.
Nahar doesn't want to hear it but Saloni says they will leave in the morning and it is her decision that he will just have to accept.


In the morning, they get downstairs and meet the family.
The family wants to know where they are going so Saloni lies that they took a vow a while back so they have to go and fulfil the vow.
Veer and Babho say that since it’s a long journey, they shouldn't take Shweta along.
Brajesh brings up the issue of the check-up and Nahar says he will go for it when he gets back.
Saloni insists that she will take care of Nahar.
Brajesh walks away in anger.
Nahar goes to meet him in the room and Brajesh tells him that he has grown up so he can do whatever he wants to do.
Nahar begs Brajesh to bid him farewell with a smile.
Brajesh hugs him and says he feels Nahar is hiding things from him.
Nahar says he's not hiding anything.


Nahar and Saloni say their goodbyes to the family.


Saloni and Nahar take a flight to the town where the hermitage is.
On the car rode from the airport, Nahar tells Saloni that she may be disappointed so she shouldn't get her hopes up.
Saloni says she believes they will get the answer they are looking for and Nahar should just go along with it.


At the hermitage, there is a queue outside, of visitors who want to see the Shwarmi.
After a few minutes, a monk comes out and informs the crowd that  the Shwarmi cannot see anyone else till after 6 months.
A man pleads with him to please help him because his son will die if he doesn't get help.
Another monk comes out and agrees to allow the man and his son in.
He speaks to the Shwarmi and the Shwarmi agrees for the man to come in but a female member of the order says the monk cannot take the man and his son in because that will be breaking the rules.


Saloni and Nahar are still on the way when the car suddenly breaks down.
The driver gets down and is trying to fix it.
Saloni suggests to Nahar that they continue on foot, before the Shwarmi leaves.
Nahar gets dizzy so Saloni takes him back to the car to give him his drugs. She tells him to sit in the car while she goes to stop the Shwarmi.
She instructs the driver to bring Nahar when the car is repaired, then she goes on foot.

'East Meets West' Season 1 Episode 18 Recap - Aired: Monday 23 May 2016

Banwari asks Ranbir if he has heard from Udey and Lumita.
Ranbir says everything is fine and he doesn't have any worries.
Banwari says Abhay and Lisa have a lot of tension between them; Abhay wants Lisa to look after his mother and Lisa is upset she didn't go on the honeymoon.
Banwari suggests they let the tension between them grow so it won't take long for Abhay to leave his wife.
Ranbir says he already has a plan to get Lisa out of Abhay’s life.



Abhay is getting ready to go out. Lisa asks where he is going and he says he's going for a jog.
She offers to join him but he tells her to stay home and take care of his mother.
She agrees.


Udey wakes up but Lumita is still asleep.
She soon wakes up and sees him staring at her.
She says she's sorry she slept off.
He tells her they are on honeymoon and can sleep as long as they want.
She gets up but slips and he holds her up.
They stare into each other’s eyes then she breaks free and walks away.
He wonders if she's upset with him.


Ranbir is with Rhama in the room. Lisa brings her tea and says if she needs anything else, she should let her know.
Ranbir is not impressed but Rhama is; she thanks Lisa and says if she continues like this, soon everyone will like her.
As she is leaving, Ranbir calls her back and tells her to listen to Rhama.
Rhama is happy that Ranbir is speaking to Lisa.
Lisa can hardly believe her ears; she thanks him and leaves the room in excitement.


Rheka is complaining that she can't reach Udey.
Ranjeet tells her to relax.
Anjana enters the room and asks Rheka if she's alright because she looks like she didn't sleep.
Ranjeet tells her that Rheka is worried about Udey and Lumita and could barely sleep.


Udey gets a call from Abhay. Abhay ask how it is going and Udey says the city and weather are lovely.
Abhay says he is asking about Lumita. Udey is quiet.
Abhay prompts him to say what is going on.
Udey says he thinks Lumita it unhappy with him; sometimes when he's with her, she looks like she's in her own world.
Abhay advises him to bring Lumita to his own world by taking her out and making her happy.
After the call, Lumita enters the room and Udey tells her that they are going out.
Lumita is happy to hear that.


Rheka stands in the doorway to Rhama’s room and asks how she is feeling.
Rhama invites her to come in.
She tells Rheka that she’s glad that Abhay and Lisa didn't go on the honeymoon because Ranbir spoke to Lisa for the first time, with love.
Rheka is not happy.

Lisa goes to Abhay in excitement and tells him that his father spoke to her with so much love.
Abhay is happy about the development and proceeds to give her more tips on how to win everyone over.
There's a knock and Rheka comes in.
She says they seem very happy.
Abhay gets a phonecall so he goes out to receive it.
Lisa tells Rheka about Ranbir and Rheka says Lisa should not lose her identity by doing the servants’ jobs;  Lumita is already doing the work.
Lisa says she wants the family to be happy with her, if Lumita does it then she will also, so she can win Ranbir’s heart.
Rheka is not liking this at all.


Lumita tells Udey that she is ready.
They go out to sight see and stop to get some ice-cream and snacks.
They chat on the way and seem to be getting closer.
At a point, she falls asleep in the car and rests her head on his shoulder.

Lisa goes into kitchen and tells Nena that she wants to make dinner.
Nena offers to help but Lisa says she will manage.
She tells Nena to help her get a recipe book so she can follow it and make traditional food.


Udey and Lumita enter a restaurant. They see other couples getting cosy.
Lumita is uncomfortable.
Udey asks what she wants and she says whatever he is having.
Udey’s lady friend whom he met at the reception of their hotel, comes in to say ‘Hi’ to them.
Her husband joins them and she introduces him to them.
Udey asks where they are staying and the friend says they are starting in the same hotel.


Rheka is worried that Lisa is no longer under her control. She vows to do something about it
Banwari comes in and hands her the house phone, saying Udey is on the line.
Udey says he and Lumita are fine and having a good time.
Rheka asks to speak with Lumita and Udey passes the phone.
Rheka asks Lumita if she's following the priest’s advice.
Lumita assures her that she is and that she will take care of Udey.
Banwari is listening.


Rheka sees Lisa serving Ranbir and she gets worried.


Udey orders for spaghetti and Lamita struggles with the fork and knife so he orders for traditional food and she uses her hand.


Grandmother and grandfather are chatting.
He takes a phone call and afterwards, he tells grandmother that the high Command is sending him to go on a month long tour to America.
Grandmother is not happy.


Lisa follows the recipe book and struggles to make the food.


The family gathers at the table for dinner.
Rheka tells Lisa to sit down but Lisa says she will help Nena serve.
Ranbir says the food smells good and Nena says Lisa made it.
Rhama commends her.
The food is served but Uma complains about the salt.
Rheka says Lisa shouldn't have bothered to take on something she can't do
Banwari says Rheka should commend Lisa for her effort.
Ranbir concurs and says Lisa made an effort which is a good thing and she can learn from Lumita.
He tells Abhay to order a meal.


Grandmother tells to Ranbir that his father is going to America for one month.
Grandmother says it is just for work.
Rheka asks grandfather what job he has for Vinay.
Grandfather says she should ask Ranbir.
Ranbir says that Vinay is already working on a contract.
Rhama points out that Abhay is also not sorted.
Ranbir says that Abhay will go with grandfather to America to understudy a friend's business then come back to open a franchise in India.
Rheka thinks he is trying to separate Abhay and Lisa. so she says Abhay and Lisa should be on their honeymoon so the trip to America will be good for them. She asks Ranbir what he thinks.
Ranbir surprises her by saying Lisa is Abhay's wife so she will always be by his side, be it America or India.


Udey and Lumita are on the beach. He tries to get her to the water and she refuses but he carries her.
They play together and have a lot of fun.

Lisa sees Rheka and Anjana talking and says she wants to tell her something.  Rheka asks what it is.
Lisa acts as if something is wrong but then she laughs and says she just wants to thank her for suggesting to father that she goes to America with Abhay.


Ranbir and Banwari are are playing chess.
Banwari commends Ranbir on his moves and Ranbir says Rheka has used Udey and Lumita to her advantage but now it’s his turn to use Abhay and Lisa.
He whispers a plan to Banwari.


Uma helps Rhama to grandmother's room.
Rhama says she wants to stop resting and start the house chores again.
They talk about how Ranbir has changed and now accepts Lisa.


Abhay tells Lisa that his father loves him a lot so, now he is sending them to America.
Banwari comes to them and says they will have a lot of romantic times in America.
Abhay says it's for work.
Banwari asks if Abhay has noticed that Ranbir has changed and Abhay says he has.
Banwari asks Abhay if he thinks his parents will really be happy if he goes to America after only just returning
He suggests that Abhay speaks to his dad about it, especially as his mother is still recovering.


Ranbir is with Rhama and his mother in the room.
Banwari comes in and gives him a sign that he has carried out their plan.
Grandmother commends Ranbir for his new attitude towards Abhay and Lisa.


Abhay makes his way upstairs and as he gets close to the door of grandmother’s room, Banwari give Ranbir a signal.
Ranbir says he never liked Lisa but he is beginning to accept her. He says the only problem is that Abhay and Lisa are going to America but if Lisa stays and looks after Rhama, they won't miss Abhay so much.
He also points out that Lisa is just beginning to learn their customs and it is not a good time for her to leave.
Grandmother suggests Ranbir speaks to Abhay but Ranbir says he doesn't want to o decide for Abhay he just wants Abhay to be happy.
Abhay is listening, with tears in his eyes.

'Saloni' Season 2 Episode 195 Recap - Aired: Monday 23 May 2016

Mano tells Saloni not to blame Varun. She says Saloni has to find out the real truth.
Varun tells Mano not to say anything but Mano says she cant keep the truth from Saloni any longer.
Saloni asks her what she's talking about.
Mano says she didn't know that Saloni was going through so much and she's been hiding it.
Saloni asks what she is saying and Mano says Saloni knows what she's talking about.
She says Nahar will soon be taken away from them and Nahar doesn't want her to live the life of a window so he feels Varun is good enough to love and care for her.

Saloni is shocked.  She says Nahar can never think of such a thing because he knows he is deeply rooted in her. She says mano must be lying.
Varun confirms that it is true but he knows now that what Nahar wis asking them to do, is impossible.
Mano tells Saloni not to blame Nahar.
Saloni says Nahar has made a huge mistake and she won't take it; first mistake is that  he hid his health issue from her and the second mistake is that he is trying to set her up with someone.
She blames Mano and Varun for agreeing to play along.

Saloni says she has had enough and Nahar will answer to her, his wife, the one who took goes with him, he will have to answer all of her questions.
She calls him and says she wants to see him at the goddess' temple.



Nahar meets Saloni at the temple.  he stands behind her and apologises for not calling last night while he was out of town.
Saloni is quiet and he begs her to turn around.

She turns around and slaps him. Nahar is shocked.
Saloni says, he should know that something serious must have happened for her to slap him.
He stares at her in confusion and she asks how he can think that someone else will ever take his place.  She says she knows everything; she knows about the illness and has remained silent because she knows he didn't want her to know but today he has proven that all her love is in vain.
She asks how he could think that if he leaves her, she will so easily move on and forget their vows.
She tells Nahar that he's her existence.
Nahar says his dream was to make her life beautiful and colourful but what can he do now; he still wants to spend the rest of his life with her but he can't leave her to spend a life of isolation.

She says if his will is for her to die as a married woman then she would give her life now in the presence of the Lord. She takes out a bottle of poison and is about to open it butNahar takes it from her and throws it away.
They cling to each other and cry.


Savitri 's husband is around again. He says he wants the insurance money for Sanvri.
He grabs her from the bed and Savitri begs him not to take her.
He pushes her out of the way and in the process, some plates fall and break.
Nahar hears the crash.
As they are struggling, Nahar enters the room.
Savitri tells Nahar that her husband wants to take the baby because if the insurance policy.
Nahar warns him to leave the baby and the man refuses
Nahar beats him to a pulp.
The man begs him to stop then, he gives the insurance policy back.
Nahar continue to beat him.Saloni comes in and begs Nahar to stop.
Nahar tells the man  that Sanvri is his child and he will not let him near her.
The drunk hubby runs out and Nahar gives the policy back to Savitri.

Veer and Pia are looking at Nahar and Saloni's wedding album.
Savitri brings him tea and asks if she can see the album.
He gives it to her.  She sings their praises.
Veer says he can now die in peace, he prays God will give his two sons long life.


Ishan is playing 'catch' with Nahar but Nahar gets dizzy on the stairs.
Varun gets to the house and sees Nahar. He asks if he's okay.
Nahar says he's fine.
Varun says the bacterial infection is spreading faster than expected and he needs to be admitted in the hospital.
Nahar says he wants to stay with his family and live his last days in happiness and love.
Varun insists that  Nahar comes with him.
Brajesh asks where Varun is taking Nahar and they make up excuses.


Babho and Mano meet at the temple. Babho says she is so happy because she has her family with her, all happy and well.
Mano tells her that when it seems that everything is fine, fate brings another challenge.
Babho talks about how lucky they are to have Saloni for a daughter-in-law and Nahar is alive today because of Saloni.
Saloni is watching the from a distance and crying.
After they leave, Saloni faces the goddess to pray for Nahar.


Brajesh sees Mano in the house and after they exchange pleasantries he says he has noticed Saloni and Nahar have been acting strange and he knows something is wrong. He says he asked Saloni but she is still hiding it.
Mano says she hasn't noticed anything.
Nahar is watching them with tears in his eyes.


Babho is seated next to Mano and she asks if Mano is alright because she looks worried.
Mano says she is fine.
Ishan comes in, looking angry and they ask what is wrong.
He says his friend challenged him in school that his family cannot tell stories like his own.
He says his father refused to tell him a story so he needs them to tell him one.
Mano says she wants to tell him a story about a dark-skinned child.
Ishan says he doesn't  want to know and Mano says the girl looks like his aunt so he says he will listen.
Mano starts to tell Saloni's story but she made her and Nahar into a king and a queen.
Saloni and Nahar are listening.
Ishan says the story sounds like his super aunt and super uncle's story.
Babho takes over the story from Mano.
Saloni comes to finish the story.  She says that as long as the Queen is there she will never allow the king to lose.
Nahar is listening.


Nahar is in the bedroom, thinking. Saloni asks him what he's thinking about.
Nahar says the story was about the two of them but why did she lie to Ishan about the Queen because the king cannot win this time, the Queen cannot save him.
Saloni says she won't accept defeat, she can't sit back and let him die.
She says she has faith in the Lord.
Nahar says he has lost the strength to fight back and all he had now is her love.


The family is gathered and Nahar says they should play a game of passing the pillow, whoever is holding the pillow when the music stops is the loser.
Nahar loses on the first round and his punishment is to pretend he just met Saloni and wants to propose to her.
He gets on his knee and offers her a flower, then asks if she would marry him.

'Tinsel' Season 8 Episode 1781 Recap - Aired: Monday 23 May 2016

Chuks is at 'Reel Studios' for his interview.
He is alone in the boardroom so he spends the time preparing.
Fumi enters and asks him a few questions. Chuks responded in a rather professional and very eloquent manner.
Fumi seems impressed with his answers but she tells him that they will contact him if he is selected for the role.



Angela enters Brenda's office and Brenda's guard goes up.
Angela surprises her by saying Brenda has her full support as regards the custody battle with Nosa.
Brenda says she is grateful.
Angela is not done, she says  she can take the stand as a witness if Brenda needs her to.
Brenda says it won't be necessary.
Angela then says, if Brenda needs to talk too, she's available.
Brenda thanks her but she is obviously not at ease with the level of love Angela is showing her even when she still thinks Brenda is keeping stuff about Zane and the Kwame Mensah account, from her.

Chuks is at his in-law's house.
Chief asks how the interview went and Chuks says he's hopeful.
Chief complains of the clothes he gave a tailor for some weeks now but all he hears are excuses.
He asks if Chuks can make some of the native attires he usually wears.
Chuks says he can make them.


Tsav is at the police station, sitting in front of Sankey.
The police doctor examines him and says he has no broken bones but needs to go to a hospital.
Sankey orders Tsav to write a statement.
She calls Amaka and tells her they have Tsav.
Amaka is relieved.
Sankey says they also have Yahimba in custody.
Amaka asks if that means that Tsav is also in custody.
Sankey says they need to be sure of the circumstances under which he was kidnapped.
Tsav says he wants to talk to Amaka.
Sankey tells Amaka and hands Tsav the phone.
Tsav says 'hello' but Amaka hangs up.


Amaka calls Sheila and tells her about Tsav.
Sheila says she will meet her at the Station.
Amaka says she won't be able to make it. She gives an excuse.


Segun goes to the hotel where Brenda visited Zane in the past.
He sees the same receptionist Brenda met when she came to look for him again.
He asks her for a guest list and she tells him that they don't have any.
He threatens to arrest her but she insists that they don't have.
He shows her a photo of Zane and asks if she has seen him.
She says she doesn't know him and he threatens her again.
She says someone came to ask for him the other time too.
He gets curious and asks who the person was.
She describes Brenda.



Chuks takes chief's  measurements .
Chief asks if he won't write them down.
Chuks says a true professional never writes it down.
He says he wants his outfits in time and Chuks promises to deliver.


Tolu is in Angela's office. He tells her that he is sorry for her loss.
He asks if she will be OK and she assures him that she is well.
They talk about his role as director and he agrees to the terms.
They shake hands over it.


Yaya calls Philip to tell him about Tsav's release.
He says he will take her to the station but she says she can't wait.
She gets to the door and as she opens it,  Richard enters and says he's been trying to reach her.

Yaya looks very irritated and uneasy.
He asks if this is a bad time and she says it is; she has a family emergency.
He says he was worried about her.
She tells him at the top of her voice that she had enough.
He tells her to marry him and stop denying what they share.
She slaps him.
He stares at her in anger and says she shouldn't have.

Chuks is at Ziggy’s briefing Frank about his father-in-law.
Obiora asks how the interview went and Chuks says they said to get back to him.

Chuks calls Ene and Ene asks if he got the job.
He says he did and she screams in delight
He clarifies that it's not that job, it's the one with her father.
She says it's still OK.

After the call  he receives a text message on his phone, ; he has been accepted for the job.
He shows Frank who is very happy for him.
Chuks is grinning from ear to ear.


Brenda is in court for the hearing. Nosa's lawyer makes an opening statement about Nosa not being allowed to see his son.
Brenda's lawyer takes the floor after her and points out Nosa's disappearance from his son's life for one year by choice.
As he is talking, Brenda is smiling and looking at a Nosa who seems to be coming to terms with a possible loss.


Sheila and St. John come to the station to see Tsav.
When they are done with the visit, as they are about to leave,  the ICC agent asks if Sheila won't see her mum.
Sheila tells them that she has no mother.

'Saloni' Season 2 Episode 194 Recap - Aired: Friday 20 May 2016

Mano calls Varun a ’Wolf in sheep's clothing’.  She asks if he's waiting for Nahar to die so he can marry Saloni.
She tells him that his dream will never come true.
Varun says he doesn't understand her, so she hands him the letter he had written to his mum telling her about Saloni.
She continues to insult him but Nahar enters the office and begs her not to blame him because it was his own (Nahar’s) decision.
Mano asks Nahar why he is doing it.
Nahar says Saloni can't be alone after his death; Mano herself had told him how society treats widows and he can't let Saloni be like that.
Mano is very impressed with Nahar, she says Saloni got the best man in the world.
She however, tells Nahar that she knows Saloni very well and she can never love another man the way she loves him.



Saloni is playing with her baby in the room.
Tara comes in to ask for a hair dryer. She goes to Saloni's wardrobe and as she gets the dryer out, the bag with Nahar’s medicine spills and all of them fall to the ground.
She asks who they belong to and Saloni lies that she has been having headaches so Varun gave them to her.
Tara warns her not to get addicted because the drugs are a lot.


Nahar calls Saloni and tells her that it is Varun’s birthday so he wants her to help pick out a present for him.
He tells her that Varun likes suits so she can get him one.
Saloni agrees.
Nahar made the call with Varun and Mano watching and listening.


Saloni goes to the shops and she runs into Varun. She lies to him that she is picking up a suit for Nahar.
He decides to help her.
Nahar is watching them from a distance.
After picking up the suits, Varun goes off to look for something for himself and Saloni sees Nahar but he quickly docks.
Varun comes back and she tells him that she saw Nahar. They begin to look for him but they don’t see him.
Varun tells her that Nahar isn't there.
She tries his phone but he ends the call.
She gets worried and says she hopes nothing has happened to him.
Varun assures her that if there's anything wrong, Nahar will call him.


Nahar is now with Saloni at home and she insists she saw him at the mall.
He tells her to stop worrying about him so much that she sees him everywhere.
She shows him the suit and he likes it.
She says the suit will look so good on him.
He gets upset and asks if she can think of someone else for once and stop thinking about him. He apologises and she says it's okay.


Savitri is giving Sanvri a bath.  Babho gives Shweta to her to Bath as well.
Dheer and Ishan are there.
Ishan takes Shweta from her and says he will not allow his sister take a bath with the dark child.
Dheer agrees with him and Babho scolds both of them.
Ishan refuses to let go of Shweta.
Saloni sees them and gets scared of what the future will hold for the children as Nahar will not be with her to raise them.


Nahar and Saloni are at the restaurant where Varun's birthday party is to be held.
Varum comes in and they sing him the birthday song then help him cut his cake.
Saloni hands him a present and he is grateful.
The DJ starts to play a slow tune and Nahar takes Saloni to the dance floor to dance.
After a few seconds, he goes to bring Varun to the dance floor.
Varun protests but Nahar says Saloni will dance with him.
Saloni also protests but Nahar insists and joins their hands together.

As Nahar leaves them on the dance floor, he has tears in his eyes.
He goes outside and it is raining heavily.
As he  walks to his car, he is blinded by another car's full headlights so he becomes disoriented and very weak.
Saloni and Varun finish their dance and begin to look for Nahar.
She calls Nahar and he tells her he had to rush to the office for an urgent meeting.
After the call, Saloni tells Varun what Nahar said but she says Nahar will never leave her alone and she knows something is wrong.
She begs him to follow her so they can look for him.
They get outside and she tells him to take one direction while she takes another.

Outside in the rain, Nahar is getting weaker. He falls down, unconscious.
Saloni sees him on the ground and rushes to him.
He regains consciousness and lies that he slipped and fell.
Saloni tells him not to lie to her because she knows exactly what happened.
Nahar looks at her in fear and she composes herself.
She tells him that he works too much that's why he has become weak so he needs to take care of himself.


They get home and she helps him get out of the wet clothes.
She helps him dry his hair with a towel.
She gives him a change of clothes and as he goes into the bathroom, she calls Varun and tells him what happened.
She begs him to save Nahar for her.
Varun tells her that it is better she accepts the truth because there is no cure.
He also wishes Nahar will just tell the family.
Saloni says she will fulfil Nahar's wishes and she will be by his side.


In the middle of the night, as Saloni is sleeping, Nahar gets up and covers her. She wakes up too and holds his hand.
He asks if she had trouble sleeping. She says she just woke up.
He tells her that she didn't cover herself up and she says she left the blanket on purpose because she wanted him to cover her.
Nahar says it is a bad habit and what if he leaves her.
She covers his mouth and tells him not to say such things.
She puts her head on his chest and sleeps.


Varun joins the family for breakfast. He tells Nahar that he is lucky he has someone to cook for him; his own house is being renovated so he can't hire a cook till then.
Nahar says he should move in with them till his place is fully renovated.
Saloni is thinking that it will be a good idea if Varun moves in because it means he will always be close to Nahar in case of an emergency.


Brajesh says he and Nahar have to go out of the city for a meeting.
Saloni runs to Nahar and says he cannot go out of town after what happened to him yesterday.
Brajesh says Nahar didn't tell him he was sick
Nahar says he just fell in the rain and Saloni thinks he doesn't watch what he eats that's why.
Brajesh assures Saloni that he will take care of Nahar but it's an important meeting so he has to be there.


Saloni is worried that she called Nahar but he is not answering his phone.
She's thinks he may not be okay.
She prays for his protection.


In the morning, Saloni is sleeping outside on a bench.  Varun goes to her and covers her with a shawl.
Saloni with her eyes still closed, holds unto his hand and says she waited for him to come and he has finally returned home.
Varun pulls his hand away and Saloni asks why. She opens her eyes and seeing it is Varun, she goes off on him.
She says he has no right to cover her up as it is the duty of her husband. She says she has been watching his inappropriate behaviour and she knows he keeps making excuses to get close to her.
He tells her she is making a huge deal out of it but she carries on talking and reminds him that she belongs only to Nahar.
Aunt Mano watches them from a distance.

Banwari asks Ranbir what is wrong.
Ranbir says he's worried.
Banwari says Lumita has been acting strange since Rheka took her to the priest.
Ranbir points out that Rheka doesn't even believe in astrology so he knows something is up.
He thinks Rheka may have brainwashed Lumita.
Banwari says he noticed that Lumita has been acting cold towards Ranbir.
Ranbir says he will do something before Lumita falls into Rheka's evil plans.



Govind tells Hardeep that he's not happy because he hasn't seen Lumita in a while
Hardeep says they also need to worry about their responsibilities in the village.
Govind says he doesn't trust Rheka.
Hardeep assures him that Rheka is taking care of Lumita; Lumita said so herself.
He complains about Ranbir and Hardeep assures him that all is well.
He agrees to go to the village.
Hardeep says they must see Lumita first.


Ranbir approaches Lumita during the Morning Prayer ritual. As she wants to walk away, he tells her he has a gift for her; it will bring her protection.
He gives her a photograph of the one they pray to.
She accepts it and he thanks her.
He asks what Rheka took her to the priest for and Lumita says Rheka already told everyone.
As she leaves, Ranbir is happy she spoke to him.

Lumita brings tea to everyone, she places Ranbir’s cup on the table in front of him instead of handing it to him like the others.


Govind and Hardeep come to visit.
Lumita hugs them in excitement.
They inform the family that they are going back to the village so they came to say goodbye to Lumita.
Everyone leaves Lumita and her family in the living room.
Ranbir tries to talk to Govind but Govind ignores him.


Lumita tells her aunt and uncle that she will be so lonely if they leave town. She is crying.
They console her and say they will be back in a while after she gets back from her honeymoon.
Hardeep gives her a perfume and says she should use it on her honeymoon so that her husband will not be able to stay away from her.
Lumita continue to cry because she can't tell her aunt what she is going through.


Lumita enters the room crying and Udey tells her that he doesn't like to see her cry.
He begs her not to feel bad that her uncle and aunt have left because he and his family will take care of her.
To take her mind of the issue, he tells her that he doesn't really know how to pack and asks if she will help him.
She smiles and agrees.


Abhay and Lisa enter the room and say they have packed their own stuff.
Anjana enters also and says she's sure that Abhay did all the work with packing their own stuff.
Lisa says she actually did all the packing and Abhay didn't do anything.
Udey says in a marriage, it doesn't matter who does what.


Anjana goes to Rheka and says the couples are going on honeymoon together; she asks what will happen if Lisa becomes like Lumita or Lumita becomes like Lisa.
Rheka begins to think of who she can use to ensure Lisa and Abhay do not go on the trip.

She goes to the kitchen and meets Nena making tea for Rhama.
She tells Nene to gets her pills because she has a headache.
As Nena leaves, Rheka puts something in the tea.
Ranjeet is in the living as Nena is taking the tea to Rhama, he asks for the tea but Rheka quickly tells him to allow Nena take it to Rhama because she has been waiting for a while.
Nena takes the tea to Rhama and Rheka watches as she takes a sip.


The couples are about to leave for their honeymoon and Rheka asks why Rhama isn't in the living room to say goodbye. She thinks the drug she put in the tea would have taken effect already.
Ranbir calls Rhama and to Rheka’s surprise, Rhama shows up, looking as healthy as can be.
The family say their goodbyes to the couple and as they get to the door, Rhama faints.

A doctor comes in and tells them she will be alright. She fainted due to fatigue and needs to rest.
Abhay tells her to rest and take her medication.
Rhama says she will be fine and he should go on his honeymoon.
Abhay says he's not going, Udey says they will all stay.
Ranbir says the family will take care of Rhama but Abhay can stay.
Udey says they should all go but Abhay says he will not go;  he insists Udey should go.


Lisa is crying in the room. Rheka goes to her and says Ranbir should have convinced Abhay to go. She says it's a pity that Udey and Lumita will enjoy their honeymoon whilst Lisa and Abhay will be home.
She says it's a bit strange that Rhama fell ill at the last minute. She says Ranbir could have been planning it all along as he didn’t want Abhay and Lisa to go on the honeymoon.


On the way, Udey and Lumita discuss the issue with Abhay and Lisa.
Lumita says a silent prayer to God for strength to keep her promise to stay away from Udey.


Lisa asks Rhama if she needs anything.  Rhama says she's is fine and not sick; she's only in bed because everyone insists.
Lisa says if she needs anything, she should let her know. Then she leaves the room.

Grandmother, Abhay and Ranbir enter the room.
Ranbir tells his mother that she will have to take care of Rhama since Lumita is not around and nothing can be expected from Lisa.
Rhama says Lisa just asked her if she needed anything and that he shouldn't worry, Lisa will soon be like Lumita.
Ranbir says Lisa will never be like Lumita.
Abhay says if he keeps comparing Lisa to Lumita then how he will see the good qualities in Lisa.
Ranbir asks why Lisa is not with Rhama; she just checked on her and left.


Abhay goes to the room to scold Lisa for not taking care of his mother.
She says she checked up on her but she says she was fine so she left.
He says if she continues to stay away his father will never accept her.
Abhay says he loves her but she needs to try harder so his father can accept her.
Lisa says she should be given some more time, she will try.


Udey and Lumita get to the hotel for their honeymoon.
He runs into a friend at the reception and introduces her to Lumita.
Lumita responds in a traditional way to the greeting and Udey looks a little embarrassed.

They enter the decorated rooms and he holds her hand. They stare at each other for a while as he holds unto the hand.


Rheka is in her room and Udey comes in with Lumita.
She's shocked and asks why they came so soon.
Udey leaves the room and Lumita breaks down crying that she couldn't keep her promise.
Rheka wakes up in shock from her dream and says it's a dream but it may come through.


Back in the honeymoon suite, Udey leaves Lumita to go and freshen up.
When he gets back into the room, Lumita pretends to be sleeping.
He gets on the bed and covers her up with a blanket.
When he switches of the bedside lamp, she opens her eyes.

'East Meets West' Season 1 Episode 16 Recap - Aired: Thursday 19 May 2016

Rheka and Udey come back home, to everyone's relief.
Everyone gathers around them.
Lumita rushes to Udey. She holds his hand and it gets awkward between them.
Rheka explains that their car had a punctured tyre but thanks to everyone’s prayers they were able to avoid an accident.
She says  the driver didn't have a spare but they got a taxi home and they have Udey to thank for making them come back home.

When everybody else leaves the living room, Ranbir tells Rheka that he's glad she finally listened to Udey and came back home.
Rheka says he wouldn't get rid of her so easily.




Lumita is sleeping on the bed. Udey enters and stares at her lovingly, then he gets in bed and covers her up with a blanket.
In the morning, Lumita sees him sleeping then her face breaks into a smile.


She goes to the kitchen and tells Rhama and Nena to let her make some tea.
Rhama asks if the tea is for Udey.
Lumita blushes and says she doesn't know if he will like it.
Rhama assures her that he will like it.


Lumita takes two cups of tea to Abhay and Lisa’s room. Abhay wakes Lisa up and Lumita says she only one cup because Lisa doesn't like tea.
Lisa wakes up and kisses Abhay, holding unto him.
Abhay is very uncomfortable and he looks at Lumita. She looks away.
Lumita leaves the room and Abhay berates Lisa for kissing him in front of Lumita.
Lisa says she didn't know Lumita was there and besides he's her husband so she can kiss him.


Lumita greets Rheka in the hallway. Rheka asks why she is the one making tea. Lumita says she wants to serve and take care of everyone as they are all older than her.
Lumita takes Tea to Udey in the room. He says he doesn't want tea.
Rheka is standing by the door, listening. She’s happy with Udey’s refusal to take the tea.
Udey tells Lumita that since she made the tea for him, he will gladly take it.
He takes it from her and sips.
Rheka is not happy.

Lumita tells Udey that she can bring him lunches at work instead of him to keep ordering for lunch.
Udey gets a phone call and leaves the room.

Rheka enters the room and pretends to have a headache.  She tells Lumita that she had a dream and wants to know if Lumita got intimate with Udey last night.
Lumita says she didn't.
Rheka says, “thank God” because it would have been a disaster, going by what she saw in her dream.
She tells Lumita to get ready so they can both go to a man who will give her protection.


Udey sees Lumita getting ready. He looks at her in admiration.
She sees him staring and asks if it's OK for her to go out with his mother.
Udey tells her that she doesn't need his permission to go out with his mother.
Lumita is so shy, she can barely look him or anyone in the face.

Rheka and Lumita get downstairs and grandmother asks where they are going to.
Rheka says there's been something threatening Udey and Lumita's marriage so she wants to take Lumita to a priest.
Rhama points out that Rheka doesn’t believe in astrology so she’s surprised that she wants to go and see a priest.
Grandmother says it is a good idea.


Abhay asks Lisa what she's thinking. She says she's thinking about Lumita making tea for him.
He says she should be like Lumita, wake up early and make him tea.
Lisa says waking up early is difficult for her but she will try.


On the way, Rheka asks Lumita why she's nervous. She assures her that the priest is a very renowned one and he will tell them how to ensure that Lumita’s marriage to Udey is a happy one.
She starts to blame Ranbir again for things not going right in the marriage.
Lumita listens quietly.


Banwari tells Ranbir that Rheka took Udey away at the last minute and he knows Ranbir doesn't like it.
Ranbir says he doesn't like Udey staying away from Lumita.
He says Rheka always has a plan and he won't relax until Udey and Lumita are gone on their honeymoon.
Rheka and Lumita meet the priest. She asks him if he had the horoscopes of Lumita and Udey.
The priest says the horoscope is not good that it why they've been having issues in their marriage.
He turns to Lumita and says she got married to the wrong person that's why her father died and her husband had an accident.
Lumita is crying.
Rheka calms her down.
The priest tells Rheka that as a result of Lumita’s horoscopes not being good, Udey is in danger.
Rheka feigns panic and asks what they should do.
The priest says lumita should stay away from Udey for 21days.

Abhay and Udey are outside the house, on the swing. Abhay tells Udey that he is very naive and doesn’t really know how to handle a woman.
Udey says he has Abhay as his mentor so he is happy.
Abhay says he should stop being too polite for one and that he will teach him all he needs to know while they are away on their honeymoon.
Lumita assures Rheka and the priest that she will stay away from intimacy with Udey so as to save his life.
On the way home, Rheka tells Lumita that she knows it will be difficult to follow the Priest’s orders but she has to and they won't discuss it with anyone in the family.
She tells her not to tell Udey because he doesn’t believe in it.
Lumita agrees not to tell anyone.
Rheka says she will cheer her up by taking her shopping so as to get her ready for her honeymoon.
Lumita says she doesn’t want to go on her honeymoon anymore.
Rheka panics at hearing that. She thinks to herself that Ranbir will blame her if Lumita and Udey don’t go for the honeymoon so she tells Rheka that she needs to go but she should just not get intimate with Udey.


When they get home with the shopping bags, they meet the family in the living room.
Grandmother asks whether they went to the priest like they had earlier said or went shopping.
Rheka says she took Lumita to shop for herself but instead Lumita got gifts for everyone in the house.
Ranbir whispers to Rhama that he wonders why Rheka took Lumita to a priest.
Grandmother asks what the priest said and Rheka lies that he said all is well.
Lumita gives gifts to everyone except Ranbir.
Rheka says Lumita got traditional wears for Lisa but she’s afraid Lisa might not like it.


When everyone else leaves the living room, Banwari asks Ranbir what Rheka is up to.
Ranbir says they need to find out the reason why Rheka took Lumita to a priest.


Lumita goes to meet Lisa and Abhay in their room to give them their gifts.
Lisa opens her gift and says it is pretty but she doesn't wear traditional dresses.
Abhay tells Lumita that Udey is lucky to have married a girl like her.
When Lumita leaves the room, Abhay berates Lisa for not appreciating the gift Lumita gave her.


Lumita gives Udey a necklace and tells him it's for God to protect him. He thanks her and puts it on.


At night, as Rheka is getting ready for bed. Ranjeet says that she has changed and she's really doing right by Lumita.
Rheka says she's their daughter in law so it's her duty.
Her inner voice says Ranjeet is clueless and has no idea that she wants to keep Lumita from getting close to Ranbir and getting intimate with Udey.

'Saloni' Season 2 Episode 193 Recap - Aired: Thursday 19 May 2016

Varun picks Nahar up from the ground.
Saloni says Nahar tripped and fell so it's not right, because he actually won.
Nahar says the fight is not over till the sword is pointed at the opponent’s chest, so Varun won.
Saloni says she can't follow Varun to the movies.
Nahar tells her that it’s just a movie and Varun is like a family member.


As they head to the movies, Saloni berates Varun for winning even as he knows Nahar's condition.
She later apologises to him and says they should go back home.
He says if they go back then the family will wonder what happened, besides, he need to tell her some things about Nahar’s sickness.



He takes her to a restaurant and tells her that Nahar will get weaker in the coming days.
Saloni says she has lost her hope and she wants to know how she can share his pain.


Kaveri and her friends come to the same restaurant.
She sees Saloni and Varun then she starts to wonder what is going on since Nahar is nowhere to be found.
She hides and listens to their conversation.


Varun says they are in a situation where they can't do what they want and he wishes they had the power to change it.
Saloni says it's getting late and they should get back.
Kaveri sis now convinced that there is something going on between them.


Nahar is at home pacing.
Saloni gets home and he asks how it went. She says she enjoyed herself and Varum is a nice guy.


Nahar meets Varun in the open field again.
Varun says what Nahar is asking can't happen.
Nahar says he needs Varun and Saloni to spend more time together so they can understand each other.
He says he needs to come up with another excuse to make this happen.


He gets home and sees Saloni playing with their baby.
Saloni asks where he was.
He says he was with Varun; Varun wrote a poetry and it was supposed to air on the radio but they can't find the voice over to do it.
He smiles at Saloni and says they have decided that Saloni should do the song.
He begs her to agree to do it.
She agrees and says he should promise not to make her sing after this. In future she will only sing for him.


Dheer meets Kaveri up at the restaurant, at her request.
She says Nahar is quite busy and doesn’t seem to have time for Saloni.
Dheer says Varun is taking most of his time.
She asks who Varun is and Dheer says he’s Nahar’s childhood friend who just returned from the Uk, as a doctor.
Kaveri is thinking that Nahar is losing his wife to Varun, his own friend.
Since she got the information she wanted, she pretends she has something to do.
She gets up and leaves Dheer wondering why she always rushes off.


Saloni an Nahar meet Varum up at the radio station.
Varun secretly calls Nahar’s phone. Nahar answers and pretends it's an important call form work so he has to go to the office urgently.
He apologises to Saloni and says Varun will be with her.
Nahar sadly leaves the radio Station.
As he drives, he listens to Saloni singing on the radio.
He breaks down on the steering wheel.

Nahar gets home and continues his recording.
He tells Saloni that he won't be around on Shweta s birthday but she will receive a gift along with the recording so she should give the gift to Shweta.
He takes the tape out of the recorder and when he hears Saloni’s voice, he throws it under the bed.
Saloni comes in and gives him a hug. She asks if he's okay.
He says he is.
Babho comes in and says she listened to Saloni’s song and she felt like she was really in pain.
Varun , who brought Saloni back home, thanks Saloni for singing and he tells her that the station wants her to sing one more sing
Nahar says it’s a good idea but Saloni reminds him that he already promised her that she won't sing again.
Babho says she can record the song on a tape and send to the station.
They all agree that it is the best solution.


Brajesh joins them and tells Nahar that they have a meeting in the office.
Saloni tries to stop  Nahar from going to the meeting and even Varum tries to protest but in the end Nahar goes with Brajesh.


Saloni records the song on a tape and as she hands it to Varun,  it falls to the ground and under the bed.
As they try to pick it, he accidentally picks the tape Nahar had recorded earlier for Shweta’s birthday.


Nahar comes back at night and starts to looks for the tape but Saloni comes in and he tries to distract her from what he's doing.
At night, as they lay in bed, sleeping,  Nahar tries to get up from the bed to look for the tape but Saloni makes him lie back.

In the morning, Tara wakes Nahar up and tells him to come and listen to Saloni's song that will soon play on the radio.
He bend's to pick the tape and he sees it is a different tape.
He panics.


The family is gathered downstairs, waiting to hear the song on the radio.
Nahar is still upstairs. He calls Varun and tells him that he has the wrong tape so he needs to stop it from playing on air.
Varun rushes into the office where the DJ is about to play the tape but he gets thrown out.
The DJ goes on to introduce the song and as she is about to play it, the man who threw Varun out, rushes in and stops it.
The DJ apologises to the public and says she will play something else.


Saloni goes to meet Nahar upstairs and tells him he didn't come to listen to the song.
She lies that it already played and he didn't hear it.
Nahar panics and she laughs at him.
She tells him that there was a technical issue.


Nahar is dressed to go out. Kaveri and Ambica come to visit.
Kaveri tells Nahar that they came to see him and he's about to go out.
Ambica says she wants to see Shweta.  She follows Saloni to the room and Kaveri is left with Dheer and Nahar.


Kaveri tells Nahar that she wants to speak to him.
She says his friend, the doctor,  Saloni spends a lot of time with him,  at home and outside.
Nahar ‘s says “and so?”
She didn’t get the reaction she was expecting so she says she likes his open mindedness; she wishes Samar was that open minded.
Nahar tells her that Saloni Varum are good people and he is happy that Saloni has a friend like Varun.


Ambica plays with Shweta and chats with Savitri.
She tells Saloni that she wants to see her and Nahar get Shweta married one day.
Saloni looks sad and Ambica asks if she's missing her baby. She says the baby will be fine.


Saloni and Varun meet at a restaurant again and she complains that Nahar is getting weak.
Nahar calls Varun and tells him what Saloni likes to eat.
Varun places the order for the dish and Saloni asks how he knows exactly what she likes.
She tells him that Nahar always orders it for her because he knows she likes it.


Mano is going out and Narpat asks her where she is going.
She tells him that she is going to the hospital.


Varun tells Nahar that it is not easy to just erase him from Saloni’s memory.
Nahar insists that Saloni has to forget about him.


Mano gets to the hospital.

Varun gets a parcel delivered to him from his mother
He opens it and sees photographs of different girls. She sends a note asking him to choose one girl so she can approach her family.
Varun writes her a reply that he may have found a girl but he doesn't know if Saloni will receive him after Nahar's death.

Varun gets called in to see a patient.

Mano enters his office and sees the note on his table.
She reads it in shock.

Varun comes back in and Mano gives him a slap.
